Sierra Lakes Golf Club

Course was okay. Greens and bunkers were good. Fairways were spotty with bare spots and very thin lies common. Driving range and putting green were nice. Not worth my drive from Pasadena.

We got there 30 min before our tee time, the lady said nothing except accepting we were there, we got some balls, hit on the range, went to the starter and we’re told we had an hour wait…

Backed up and lack of carts…

We waited about 45 min to start, ended up playing the front twice because we would have never finished otherwise.

A frost delay caused an hour and a half delay. But it is what it is. The lady at the front wasn’t the nicest.

Pace of play was fine except I have one buddy I golf with who hits the ball a mile but not in the fairway and he has to spend way too long looking for his ball. Which caused us to fall behind.

My negatives are the greens were full of ball divots and the 3 or 4 holes by the driving range have 100s of balls where a slightly left or right first shot would be. Also one hole does not have adequate protection about 150 yards from the green, balls are flying over the fence around you. They need a taller fence because apparently a lot of people can hit it further than their range Max.

Other than that the layout was nice and the fairways are open and forgiving. Wouldn’t pay 77 dollars again for a Monday tee time. But the price does deter bad golfers and delays.

Pace of play is very slow. We had to wait on every hole which is bad on a cold day.

Had an amazing time on the course with Father in law. Definitely planning another round of golf soon.

I was told Junior rate for our son over the phone, and when I arrived the person at the pro shop denied it.

The course was in terrible condition, with lots of bare lies and dead grass. Not worth it for $60

In my opinion the course has gone down in the last four years. They charge too much do not have GPS, Bluetooth, or charging ports n The carts are beat up,even a car girl for that matter.. The pace of play is OK but trying to get food or drink it’s not worth it because their prices are very expensive a hotdog,sandwich or whatever you need. Used to be my number one home course now Oak Quarry is

Greens are great. Quick but not too quick and true as a green could be. Fairways were a bit torn up and the winter conditions made for the browned out look of dormant grass, but it was very playable and reminded me of the PGA West courses, only slightly less taken care of. But for the price, this place is a gem.

Staff sucks!!! I’d rather have no one fix there divots on the green then talk to the kid that was working there, I didn’t finish my round due to the heavy rain that came down, so I asked if I can get my money back, told me I had to go to golf now and ask them since I went through golf now, so I called golf now and asked them for a refund and said no problem just have to confirm with the course itself, so they called the pro shop and the same kid denied it so I didn’t get anything back, course would be a lot better with friendly staff I give it a 2 out of 10 the price is too high for a course that’s not taken care of with a horrible staff members.

Terrible conditions. Range was closed so we didn’t get a warm up. Piped one right down the middle on the first anyways. Fairways are almost brown cut down to the dirt. No water stations out, no ball washers, and stupid foam inserts in the cups. Trash all over the course. Many of the “sierra lakes” are now large bunkers or dried up hazards. They should consider a name change. I would pass if I were you.
