Sierra Lakes Golf Club

We had to play from the forward tees on 80% of holes.

This was our first time at Sierra Lakes and we really enjoyed the layout and course conditions. The greens were challenging but in great shape too. However, the biggest bummer was the pace of play. We had an 11:15 tee time and they were 30 minutes behind. We waited 2-3 groups deep on most holes in the front nine, but the pace picked up in the back nine. It was still a 5:30 round.

We were scheduled to play at 1153AM. The course was saturated with players as a group of 80 had started teeing off in the morning and a group of 25 were already in front of us at 1153AM! The starter advised it would be at the very least over an hour of delay to tee off! With Daylight Saving time in effect, we would nit finish in daylight. The golf club staffed offered us cancellations and we accepted. So it was not a good day!

I will say that this was unusual for this course which is normally a great course to play with a very nice staff but my partner and I and a third GolfPass member playing with us will not book any times at Sierra Lakes unless they are earl in the morning going forward. I am still trying to get thru to GolNow to get my refund!

I treated a friend to a round who hasn’t played in years and it was his first time at Sierra Lakes. We both played well and had a great time. Course is in great shape and staff are always friendly and helpful. Sierra Lakes is a real gem in the IE. We are especially appreciative that they have a refreshment lady out on a weekday morning.

The pace of play is horrible. I paid $89. I expect faster pace. Not coming back.

Solid course with great views! Challenging but not too challenging. Great layout and unreal signature par 3 on the back!

We were supposed tee off at 1 PM. The 12;45 twosome was STILL ON THE BOX at 1 PM. They had to be the SLOWEST twosome on the planet!! We saw no one in front and they were just strolling around without a care in the world.Thankfully they stopped for drinks at 9 so we started on 10 about a hole behind a foursome of maybe fathers an=d teens. Then we watched them for the last 7 holes. Over 4 1/2 hours with no drink cart or marshal was painful. I won't be back. Upside the course is good and the weather was nice. Great greens and bunkers.

I can't recommend this course. They allowed a 12some with 3 spectators whom happened to play some holes. Yes 12some!!!! Waiting has been painful lately with 18 holes taking 5+ hours and sometimes over 6....and this is later in the day when it should be even quicker to play.

I was harassed by a staff member who decided to yell out unwarrented at me on the 1st tee box. He later apologized profoundly because he was completely wrong,, nonetheless I will NOT return to this disaster. They are allowing very slow players to play from the tips.

While there are some good staff members the fiasco I dealt with was unacceptable, unprofessional and discourages me from returning. Ruined my day, my round and wasted money and time.

To top it off I ordered a roast beef sandwich to take out, got a nasty tuna sandwich. How you mix that up isbeyond me.. If you can't get a food order right why would you get running a course correctly?

Best greens and fairways in the IE. But you gotta pay for it and make sure to book in advance, times go fast. Staff is a little snobby in the pro shop.

Course’s in great condition. Fairways and greens are nicely maintained. I was putting on the prattle green and it was slow & a bit bumpy but on course greens were smooth & fast. Very impressed with the overall experience.

The pro shop is well stocked, but they seem to overbook recently resulting in a very slow pace of play, even in a Tuesday! We previously order booked (past Saturday) and they were out of carts and behind 1-2 hours due to over booking and taking walk ins. The course is challenging and usually in good shape, the range is fine except they do not maintain the mats so they are muddy and nasty.

The Bar is great, friendly staff, but the food is expensive and for some reason they have noticeably started using poor quality food products.
