Pace of play was terrible. Almost took 5 and a half hours and we skipped a hole. Also we paired up with total strangers and was expecting to only be a twosome not foursome. Guess should have read the fine print.

I live out of state in a cold climate and even though this round was a bit cool and windy it was great to be playing in January!

Best overall value in the LA area.

Challenging course and reasonably

well maintained considering the weather over the Holiday season. Whenever I'm in the area, this course will always be on my short list.

Play here more than anywhere. I am terrible, so course is challenging. The more you learn it, the more fun it becomes. Players tees allows you to play safe and give even bad players chance to score, key is smart club selection to avoid trouble. The prices are excellent, as you can find great online deals. The only complaint, while the rest of staff has been great. There has been one gentleman that never seems to live up to the rest. Unfriendly. Rude to a point. Have also on two occasions found same person to had double charged me, both times no call back when leaving messages at course. Over course of a year and 20 or so outings. Have not seen this staff member in last two trips, so may be gone. But please don't let this detour you. Rest of staff are awesome, and no other issues. Just check receipt in case. Or pay online. You won't find a better deal for a course like this.

The course is in great shape considering the water shortage, can't be the prices on golf now, I paid 37$ with a cart for a 730 tee time. This is a challenging course, so if it's your first time playing it, play smart but most importantly,give it a chance...in perfect conditions this is easly a 80-100$ course.

Huge elevation changes on the front nine, and the back was flatter on 1/2 the holes. Greens were smooth, rolling, quick, and held a shot. Fairways were the worst of the conditions but never had a lie that was upsetting. Fun to play. Breakfast after 10:00 so plan accordingly.

Definitely Check this track out if you haven'y played it. I certainly wouldn't pay the prime price unless money is no object to you. I have three main issues with the conditions...the fairways are mostly hardpan, and very spotty with lots of dirt patches. The fairways have gone downhill. The bunkers are mostly hard and hard to play out of. The greens were good on some holes and pretty bumpy and beet up on others from foot traffic. They design of the course is kinda nutty being built on the side of a mountain, certainly an attractive design to play if you haven't experience this type of Cali golf, but not something most golfers wanna play on a regular basis. If you want, go check it out, you might like it

Lot of dramatic elevation changes, which made it fun for a golfer from the Chicago area, and several forced carries, which add to the challenge. Several tee boxes cause you to pause and take in the vista before teeing off to the fairway down below. Definitely not a walking course, and I'm not even sure that's allowed. Greens were pretty much pristine and the fairways were in good condition considering the drought.

The layout is difficult at the start but it gets easier as the round progresses.

this is probably my favorite public course to play in Ventura County. Always challenging and have met some really friendly golfers.

A lot of blind shots on the front 9 , need to know the course , back 9 more open , the greens are a challenge know which was the break would go and the speeds , could be a little less bumpy . overall I would play this course again . I played at 7.40 and the pace of play was excellent .

Course always great shape, staff was outstanding

Uneven lies, severe elevation changes, undulated greens. If the wind is up this course is hard. Worth the money as they seemed to have lowered the prices.

My son and I played from the "Players" tees. We typically score in the low 90's so I think that this was the right choice for us. This made the course very short and I only used my driver on the par 5, 16th. Despite playing about as well as I can, I paid the price for a few shots that were not really that bad but there is not a lot of room for error on the front nine, especially for us higher handicappers.

The course is beautiful with so many unique looking holes and breathtaking views. The fairways seemed a little dry, not surprising in these drought conditions, but the greens were in great shape and the putts ran true.

If we weren't paired up with someone who was familiar with the course it would have been a lot more challenging to play here.

Nice course, Greens were good. Pace of play was terrible until they broke up 5 some ahead of us. Played the course in reverse order, started at 10 (once a month on a Monday they do that) Some improvements since I have played it last

Course is not great shape.

It has a few holes that have blind tea shots which can be tough.

A good test for your game especially with a windy day .

Nice golf course specially the price we were able to get.
