Tierra Rejada Golf Club
About
Nestled in the foothills of eastern Ventura County, Tierra Rejada Golf Club is known for its picturesque setting and stunning views. The club overlooks the Reagan Presidential Library. Tierra Rejada is unique in that it offers a formidable test for low handicappers from the championship tees but it is also accessible to mid and high handicappers thanks to the Players Course. The 5,600-yard Players Course is a "course within a course" that was designed to keep the game fun for golfers who may not be looking for a tough test. Even though it may be shorter, both golf courses still provide a challenge. There are plenty of ups and downs throughout thanks to the rolling hills and there are a variety of hazards coming into play including water and strategically placed bunkers.

I Will Play TRGC Again
I really enjoyed this unique golf course that is constructed into and around a mountain. The greens were well kept, but the breaks were not that true to their read. Fairly quick greens. The pace of play was slow and we went off at 11:38am and finished at 4:38pm.
Great course
Greens are very challenging, must be on the correct side depending where the flag is.Front nine greens are slower than the back, very hard to get a consistent speed of the greens. Must stay in fairway on most holes. Staff are very nice.
Hi prescott13,

We are happy to hear that you enjoyed our staff, course conditions, and your overall experience. We hope you will be back to see us for another memorable round soon.

Tierra Rajada usually better.
My group likes to play at Tierra Rajada. We play there six or seven times a year. The greens have been faster yet remain very true. The rain has made the dry fairways start to return, they should look great by next month. Pace of play Saturday was unusually slow. It took over five hours when we usually play I about 4:15 or 4:20. We'll be back in a couple of weeks.
Hi Coolbrum,
Thank you for playing for Tierra Rejada Golf Club. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your round, and we appreciate your feedback on pace of play. We hope you will be back to see us for another round soon.

Beautiful course with lots of challenges.
It's very well maintained. Not very crowded. They seem to put enough interval between tee times. Fairways are usually pretty generous but you don't see lots of rough areas. If it goes out of the fairway, there's a good chance you have lost your ball. So bring extra balls. It also has pockets of water ponds and streams here and there and take precautions.
being in the mountain, you sometimes have to deal with wind. Avoid playing the round when it's very windy because you are going to see your ball coming back to you from time to time.
Some holes force you to carry certain distance to land the ball safe. If you can't carry at least 210yards, you should probably play white in those holes.
Hi aiden2064100,
Thank you for playing at Tierra Rejada Golf Club, and thank you for the 5 star rating. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your round, and we appreciate all the great advice you have provided future golfers. We hope you will be back to see us for another round soon.

Great condition and pace of play
a smiling and welcoming pro shop will make it a perfect course.
The first 3 holes are almost designed to lose all of your balls and are poorly designed but after that every hole is a joy to play.
Hi ahameedgolf,
Thank you for playing at Tierra Rejada Golf Club. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your round, but are disappointed to hear you didn't have a great interaction with our pro shop staff. We appreciate your feedback as this helps us make improvements for future golfers.

Pace of Play
I had previously played this course and was looking forward to going back, right up to the point where I drove into the course. Visually the course was in very poor condition and playing it further validated this point. The grass was mostly dead or in the process of dying. I must state the greens were playable. Then there was the pace of play, which was deplorable. It took 2.75 hours to play the front nine and by the time we ended up at the 11th tee box, there were 4 groups waiting. Notify the staff on the pace of play and back-up was not helpful. Their attitude was that we have your money, so tough luck. I guess I was expecting more for paying $58.00 for twilight rates. If you played in the morning, they were soaking you for $98.00. They should be embarrassed. I would think twice about playing this course and never on a weekend.
Hi grmarttila,
Thank you for playing at Tierra Rejada Golf Club. We are disappointed to hear that the pace of play and course conditions were not up to par. Due to the recent drought, course conditions are a bit dryer than normal, however the recent rain should help. We would like to hear more about your experience and where we could make improvements for future golfers. Please reach out to us at tierrarejadarejadagc@gmail.com to provide us more detail about your experience. Again, we are disappointed we were not able to provide you with an exceptional golfing experience.

Tierra Rejada Golf Outing
Very challenging course if you don't hit it straight. Very good pace of play during a Friday AM round. Some semi-blind shots if new to the course. Easy going but attentive staff. Well worth a try.
Thank you for your review, we look forward to seeing you soon, for another great round!
This course has good condition.
I have a great round as always. When I played hare. Good condition. Any golfer are keep on pace.
Thank you for your review, we are glad that you continue to have great experiences out on the course, and we hope to continue that trend! Look forward to seeing you soon!
Challenge
I really like the course. It's not a easy course but I like the challenge
Thank you dan for your review, we are glad that you found our course challenging but that you enjoyed the challenge! We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Very Fun and beautiful
We had a great day. I loved ti so much we are going back tomorrow! Played as a 2 some and were done under 4 hours. Short wait on 8 & 9 then that group left. The views are really nice. The greens were fun and sometimes tricky! A couple had hills behind the green you could use to wrap around and come back to the hole! It was fairly cold and a little breezy but not bad. My husband is a long ball hitter and he had to be careful with the narrow fairways and some were really hard so the ball would bounce and be gone! It was a good challenge for him to have to not just go for distance. I am a novice but did not have trouble. No big water areas to hit over from the forward tee's. I would have lost a lot of balls it I played from the other tee's.
Thank you so much for your review, we hope that your second round was even better! We hope to see you out on the course again!
Pace of play
The course was in good condition but the pace of play was slow a five hour and 39 minute round. Very disappointing. This was a Saturday round.
Thank you for playing at Tierra Rejada Golf Club. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your time with us, but we are disappointed to hear that the pace of play was not up to par. We hope you will come back to see us for another round, as this is out of the normal for pace of play at our course.

Good Value.
A good course. A lot of elevation changes. Greens are fast and hard which is intetesting. They roll very well. Only drawback was without local knowledge i hit two balls Ob with driver because of lay of the land. You need to know where you should not use your Driver
I ll know 2 nd time.
Hi Robpecel12,

Play Golf
Found the course really challenging especially with the wind blowing like it was. Seems like every time I play here there is something going on that makes the course a little tougher than last time. I always enjoy playing here. I'll be back soon.
Thank you for playing at Tierra Rejada Golf Club. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your time with us, even with the added challenge of the blowing wind! We are happy to hear even with your changing challenges that you will be back to see us again soon!

Great Price had to go!
I don't play here often because although its a nice course Its not a $100.00 course in my opinion. With that said a nice afternoon round during the week is good and the deal we got of $30.00 including cart was great! The guys in the golf shop could be a little friendlier but the rest is all good.
Hi JPRIII,

October green
Since October is a prime month for courses to do maintenance we were very pleased in the overall conditions. Everything was rated a 7 out of 10 so get out there and play it while other courses are being punched.
Great course
Overall it's one of the excellent courses.
The fairway and green conditions are vertical nice.

Very nice course
Played here several times and always fun playing this course. The course is in great shape even with this drought. It is even more intriguing after playing in poor course of Robinson Range a day before. The difference is day and night.
Good conditions but a mickey mouse course
Wow. Who was that ghostly dude in the pro shop? No smile, no hello, not even acknowledging the fact that I am standing there. How rude, cold, worthless. A stereotype of a disgruntled worker. How does he keep the reception job like that? Gave me the creeps. Anyhoo.... Driving range is grass, which is good, but it's very soft, so mid-day there's not much good grass left on a fairly busy Sunday. We teed off close to 1pm. Bit blustery today, steady 20mph most of the day which made the course all the more challenging. Played from the Black tee. Disappointed that a lot of the tee boxes were very lumpy and uneven; kept spending extra moments trying to find a decent footing more than half the time. Course has good coverage, fairways are just about right, the rough is thick enough to catch balls from rolling away to the dirt, which is nice for a change. But the OB and Red stakes are undefined, inconsistent, hard to tell where they began and ended; considering that the score card doesn't tell you what holes have what boundaries, it just says it's marked - so where are they marked? We kept asking is it in or out? Not enough. The greens are very good, rolled true on most holes; some holes are in the shade so they grow differently to others so that was understandable. I call it mickey mouse because you would die walking this place, especially on a hot windy day like today, it's cut into the sideways hills and canyons of this typical California dirt chaparral terrain! The up and downs of the holes and the crossovers to the next holes and traversing - it's built for carts. Similar to many courses like Moorpark, Lost Canyons, in the area with mega hill terrains and huge gaps between holes. But - overall the course plays far shorter than the card says, because of the hills and the wind you get extra carry or roll, making the course gettable and not overly difficult if you can get off the tee. Not one of my faves, but got a deal from GolfNow which wasn't bad, as the course is in very good shape.
OK conditions, still a bit of a mickey mouse course

challenging but fun.
Played with friends, a couple of them had not played there. Had a fun round. I like the course but the roughs were tough and some fairways tight. Even those a few complained, they had a good time and played well.
