Tierra Rejada Golf Club

Played with friends, a couple of them had not played there. Had a fun round. I like the course but the roughs were tough and some fairways tight. Even those a few complained, they had a good time and played well.

Very hard and challenging. Excellent score card with suggestions which side of fairway to hit to. One of the best courses that we played. I was able to shoot under my handicap, but the best player in my group shot @ 8 strokes over his normal 10 handicap.

Staff was friendly and engaging from the proshop all the way to the 19th hole in the bar.

Tee boxes are flat and in good condition, fairways are green, greens are in decent condition (although, some are faster than others).

Wonderful views from all over the course, particularly the 8th hole.

Missed shots can find you in other fairways, it can be fairly forgiving to get yourself back in play.

10/10 this was my previous home course until I moved, and I always enjoy coming back.

The layout of this course is incredibly linear. In most cases there is only one way to play the course and it is full of blind shots. For someone who has never played the course it is absolutely ridiculous to have to drive to the top of an enormous hill 5 holes in a row just so I know where the green is. It is not setup to give you risk reward scenarios. It really just provides you with opportunities to just kinda aim at the hole and pray. You really can't see any of the green or flag on most approach shots and some tee shots.

Course is challenging, some fairways have brown spots because of drought, but I was impessed by the greens - they are in excellent shape!

The course was in excellent shape and has a very fun track. The front 9 is the harder sized. All carts have GPS on them ths helped out a lot . I will be back to play this course again it was a very fun day.

I have reçently moved to California from Florida where we had plenty of courses to pick from. Since I have been I'm California I have played some awesome courses....but Tierra Rejada takes the cake!!! From the awesome challenging course to the incredible views. The best view was from the 11th hole where the only memorial to any president resides with the Ronald Regan Library across the valley. It is awe inspiring!!!

We had a wonderful round of golf. The course is very challenging and well maintained. The landscaping was beautiful. We had an issue with the cart battery but the issue was taken care of in a speedy manner. After our golfing we ate prime rib and roasted turkey in the restaurant. It was delicious. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was extremely pleasant. We have visited many golf courses in the greater Ventura county area and this is now our favorite!

My golfing buddy and I have adopted this as our "home course". Earlier reviews suggested the course might be too difficult for beginning or less talented golfers. We're in both groups. That said, we find TR to be a great way to spend a half-day. The shorter Par Three holes are really interesting and require precise shots while a couple of the Par Five's can play long, especially when going straight uphill. There's a lot of elevation change here and a couple of tee shots need to clear deep, wide canyons or bye-bye Titleist. We've begun playing in the late afternoon on weekdays and speed of play is determined by us. Don't stay away because you feel like TR is over your head, it's not. Is it perfect? Of course not, but for a public course the layout and challenge along with being pretty well maintained make for a fun day of golf. We bring our own water and have never eaten here.

Took two of my brothers and a nephew who never played this course.

First two holes were played in the morning fog.. We struggled on these two holes. Then it cleared up.

Our golf did not get better. But we could finally see the fairways. We had a great time. The golf course ate us up.

It is a must play golf course. Take someone who has played this golf course before./

I wanted to play a round on fathers day with my son so booked a course near his house The course was in fine shape, but the layout is pretty silly- particularly the front nine. Blind shots and almost impossible to select the right club. And if you guess wrong good bye golf ball. The back nine is a little more playable.

Horrible service in the grill. It took 10 minutes to buy 2 waters. The cart girl on the other hand was great. Came around often.

We had a woderful golf and great cocktails. played in 4 hours flat.

Overall the course was in good shape. The greens had just been punched 4 days before so there were still covered with sand. Front nine is definately a lot harder and the back nine.

Love this course but the greens wer just punched and had sand covering them. Only played 9 and was very disappointed. Normally the greens are some of the best on so cal, just unfortunate to catch them during maintenance.

Although the greens had been recently aerated, the course was in very good condition. The pace of play was about 4 hours and the fairways were well manicured.

If playing a 5+ hr round is your thing, then this is your course. No marshal on course, no effort to improve pace of play. Group ahead of us quit after 8 holes in frustration, when they were the 2nd group waiting on the tee. Completely unacceptable course management. Range balls all over the 1st and 14th (I think) fairways. Greens covered in un-repaired ball marks. Cart limped in after 18 holes (not that surprising I guess given the 5+ hrs on the battery). Will absolutely positively not be back and will be sure to recommend others to stay away. Go spend your money elsewhere.

Lots of blind shots and undulating greens which makes it fun

This course makes you think before a shot..once shot is executed right, par or better is inevitable.

A beverage cart would have been a welcome sight esp. on the back nine.
