Nestled in the foothills of eastern Ventura County, Tierra Rejada Golf Club is known for its picturesque setting and stunning views. The club overlooks the Reagan Presidential Library. Tierra Rejada is unique in that it offers a formidable test for low handicappers from the championship tees but it is also accessible to mid and high handicappers thanks to the Players Course. The 5,600-yard Players Course is a "course within a course" that was designed to keep the game fun for golfers who may not be looking for a tough test. Even though it may be shorter, both golf courses still provide a challenge. There are plenty of ups and downs throughout thanks to the rolling hills and there are a variety of hazards coming into play including water and strategically placed bunkers.

Great course but slow play awaits

Arrived early for a 9:38 tee time on Friday and was moved up 40 minutes which was great. However we played behind a threesome that was slow in that they took too long to play their shots, loitered in between shots. after 5 1/2 hours we walked off the 15th green. The marshal's were told several times but did not take any action to correct the situation.
For the premium day price it was not worth the aggravation!

great layout

Course is in overall good conditions. Tee boxes need some attention as they're not leveled and do not compliment the rest of course conditions. Greens and fairways are great.pace of play excellent. Staff could use some smile infusions.

Lots of elevation changes

This is a fun and somewhat challenging layout, well maintained. Some blind or weird tee shots on the front, but overall a pleasant experience. Desert areas as lateral hazards saves a few shots if you go astray and probably helps pace. Grass ranges are always a nice touch for warming up. Probably a tough course to walk.

Cool in the evening

Golfing in the heat of the valley during the day is a struggle but as twilight approaches the temperatures make it quite comfortable and as long as you can get in by 8:00 PM, it's golden.

Good for the rate!

Tough dessert course, but very green and great for the money. If you are a long hitter and play it smart you can do well...or at least fairly well. If not...you will post a LOT of high numbers.

Absolutely beautiful, and at a great price!

My friend and I happened upon this club when we were searching for a driving range with grass tees, and as soon as we saw it we fell in love.

When you pull up to the club house you feel like you're arriving at your own private club. It's beautiful. Park, and walk into the pro shop where you're greeted by incredibly friendly staff.
There is a great selection of gear if you're in need.

They welcome you to the first tee in a very polite manner, and give you ample time to get there and tee off.

After that it's just amazing. The course itself is gorgeous. Beautiful rolling fairways and greens make for rather challenging golf, but it's so nice you barely even notice.

each hole is immaculately kept, with out of bounds and drop areas clearly marked. I absolutely love it, and will continue to return for years to come.

The only downside is the heat (but it's summer in LA, so what are you going to do?) Early tee times are best!

Fantastic Greens

A real target course on the front nine, with a bit more forgiveness on the back nine. What really was impressive was the design, challenge and overall high quality of the greens.

Course was in good shape

Course was in good shape and well tended. Certain greens were slow and some had rough areas around the edges. Pace of play was good. Pin placements made for a challenging approach

Fun Course

This course is fun as well as windy. Course when I played was very windy and cool. It was a great course overall in good condition. The greens were slow but birdies are out there to be had if you hit good tee shots.

Challenging course

It had been a couple years since I had played Tierra Rejada. It is a challenging hilly course which is difficult to play the first time because of severe elevation changes - especially on the front nine which make it difficult to pick out your distances.
When I played on Jun 22 2013, the very large greens were in decent shape but were a little slow. The course was otherwise in pretty good shape.
Pace of play was good once we got by one slow foursome.

Fun and challenging at times

Had an enjoyable round as part of a foursome. It was quite nice for a Saturday afternoon and the golfnow deal made it all the better. There are a few blind landings off the tee and lots of hills and valleys to contend with but beautiful to look at. Just made for a bit of a challenge at times.

Nice course, slow play...

Course was in pretty good condition given the fact it is summer. Dry in places, but overall nice. Greens were in good shape. Pace of play was exceptionally slow for our twilight round.
