About
Angeles National Golf Club is the only Nicklaus Design course in Los Angeles County. It is tucked away in the Angeles National Forest. This championship course is known for being one of the area's most challenging with tough greens that are lightning fast and more than 50 strategically placed bunkers. There are also two lakes and a creek that come into play. Golfers should be prepared for long par 4s and demanding carries over ravines and barrancas. Not only is it a golf course that requires length, you'll also need accuracy. Angeles National Golf Club finishes with a par 4 that plays from an elevated tee alongside the rushing creek that edges the left of the fairway and to the right of the landing area there's a deep bunker. To the right, the green is bordered by deep grass hollows and bunkers and there is a lake to the left.

I love this place but the pins suck
They’ve obviously got some non golfer doing in placements that are just horrendous. No issues with a tough layout but the ground staff have no idea how to set up a course. It’s turning a true test into a gimmicky novelty. Been like this for months now.
We’re talking 3 feet to the edge of the green on slopes. Someone fire whoever is placing them

Pace of play is awful
Paid 175 dollars and played 9 holes as it took soooo long just to get to the turn .
No marshals on the course to make some super slow groups hurry up !! Sorry but I can’t give this a good review due to that .

great course. Count 3 h for the first 9 holes!
I love this course. Interresting to play. In very good condition. We come for golf, so amenities are not so important, its all available you need. But once more, pace of play is extremky slow. we had 3hrs for the first 9 holes, after sone talks, the group in front let us pass. then 2 hrs for the 2nd nine.

Bring your A game!
I have played this course for well over 20 years. The greens are very fast and the fairways shots can move the ball further left and right than intended due to slope and drainage. The slope rating is very high and you need to check wind in all directions depending on the hole you're on. The views are outstanding and the snack shop is very good. GPS programmed to tell you distance to all yellow flags as well as angles and wind on the greens for approach. Its not a 100.00 course but with golf now you can get good rates.

Letdown
The course is great layout is challenging and the conditions couldn’t be better. Kudos to the groundsman. And that’s all the positive this course has. The staff is super unfriendly, from the clubhouse being super annoyed you talked to him, the Marshall barking orders from the patio table while eating and not checking tee times or the cafe lady being offended we order something to make her work. 5 1/2 round even though it was empty. Even for the hot deal it’s not worth it. Couldn’t imagine full price. Disappointed cause it could be so much better. Won’t be back.
