About
Angeles National Golf Club is the only Nicklaus Design course in Los Angeles County. It is tucked away in the Angeles National Forest. This championship course is known for being one of the area's most challenging with tough greens that are lightning fast and more than 50 strategically placed bunkers. There are also two lakes and a creek that come into play. Golfers should be prepared for long par 4s and demanding carries over ravines and barrancas. Not only is it a golf course that requires length, you'll also need accuracy. Angeles National Golf Club finishes with a par 4 that plays from an elevated tee alongside the rushing creek that edges the left of the fairway and to the right of the landing area there's a deep bunker. To the right, the green is bordered by deep grass hollows and bunkers and there is a lake to the left.

Fun!
Very interesting and challenging course. Fairways were a bit hard and bare but they are coming back from very dry conditions. Greens were great, quick with a lot of undulations. Was fortunate to be paired with a very nice member and very helpful course knowledge. Beautiful scenery and a fun round!

Downhill
I’ve played this course many times and was a fan.. Unfortunately a lot about it has gone downhill. The last 2 times I’ve played have been very disappointing. While the course conditions are still well-maintained though there are more rough patches than there used to be, the staff seem uninterested in running the course in an orderly way, controlling tee times & when people tee off, not spacing times according to amount of players in groups, & there are no marshals out to maintain pace of play. At the same time they have raised the prices by at least 20% to 30%.. Less services and staff maintenance for more money. Seems a bad approach.

Pace of play
Probably my 10 th round here
Good course never a problem until the 3 rd of jan
Got there was crowd on first tee, almost 3 hours non front 9. We had to quit was gonna be a six hour round. Pro apalogized and said people from another course showed up??? Wasted a day
He offered a credit for 9 we thought was our money back turned out to be a nine hole replay???

Horrible experience
I’ve played Angeles many times, but never again.
Arrived, checked in and was directed to tee off on the 10th….played the back nine with no drama. Get to the turn and there are 3 groups on the 1st tee, backed up.
Head in to ask at the pro shop and met with “why did you tee off on 10?” repeatedly despite pointing out the signs that said to start on 10.
No solution offered, no real concern that they screwed up. Just basically suggested we go home or wait. We eventually convinced them to refund the round, but did so begrudgingly.
Aside from their complete incompetence running the place, it’s just not a good track and although it’s not in terrible condition, for the price, it’s a disgrace.
The municipal courses in LA are in much better shape and cost a huge amount less.
Bad customer service and policies.
It was raining heavily the two days prior to the t time. I tried to cancel but couldn’t because it was 47 hours and 45 minutes beforehand and the cut off was 48 hours. The course required full prepayment that is out of the ordinary. The course typically floods and the answering service couldn’t tell me if they would even be open the following day. No line of communication available to anyone at the course shows their commitment to ignoring their customers. Prepayment with unreasonable cancellation terms shows that management is top line driven but doesn’t understand that bad policies that treat customers poorly leads to less return customers. I will make sure to tell all of my buddies to never do business with this course due to poor management. It was also heavily overpriced. In addition, they schedule early t times and staff hasn’t even shown up at that tine and their parking lot is locked. Overall horrible management!!
Poor management
Got long delayed due to lack of golf carts and no starter! Did not finish the round due to the delay! Hope the course and GN did the proper refunds?

Disappointing
The pace of play was terrible, we started 15 minutes after our tee times and it never got any better. We had to wait and wait between each and every shot. Meanwhile the gps kept telling us we’re behind pace and pick up the pace or we might be asked to skip one hole to catch up. Let me tell you there was no place to go just constant waiting for our group and the next couple of groups out front of us. No marshals to enforce the rules just the constant annoying gps messages. The course condition was terrible as well no green grass in sight except the greens! To me this is unacceptable on a course that’s charging $155for an afternoon tee time! Also at the snack bar they charge $10 for a small pelegrino!!’ The whole place is a ripoff!!

Not worth the cost
There’s a reason why tee times are always available. This course is ridiculously overpriced for what you get and you can NEVER get through to the pro shop when you call. It routes you to a third party whose absolutely worthless.
