Angeles National Golf Club

Hit a hole in one today on hole 14 so it made my day. With that said the course is in great shape. Just watch out for snakes this time of year, saw a huge one on the cart path. Very quiet course with great mountain views. Will be back soon.

It’s not news that most/all public course in LA/OC are going to crap. I’d imagine most will close soon or be bought for pennies on the dollar by a conglomerate. That said, Angeles is still hanging on. Great staff, great greens, and great layout as usual. Fairways could use some attention.

Second time playing here. I thought after all the rain this winter it would be softer and more filled in. WRONG. It was hard as a rock and impossible to take a divot.. Terrible service. I dropped off my bag and nobody was there, walked and paid $77 instead of the $65 it said in the website at 1:10. Guy informed it was 1:30 and the site was wrong. Had to pay $8 for a small bucket on top of that $77. Grass range is nice and the balls are ok. I got my cart assignment and it didn’t have a key. I had to walk back up to get bag and couldn’t find anyone for 5 minutes to get the key. Finally got it, and we cruised through the first 5, then it came to a screeching stop. There was an “outing” of multiple 4somes ahead of us and all were very slow that the starter chose not to tell us about. I had to quit after 14 holes because the pace was so bad. My 2 buddies stayed and said it took almost 6 hours to finish. They gave me a 50% credit back after I complained. It was mid 80’s on the course, and the Cart girl was a ghost and the water jugs are hidden in the bathrooms, that we were never told about until after I got back. For trying to be a high end course, it failed on so many levels. I will only go back because I have the credit, but I’m done here, and hope the cement fairways and greens die a slow and painful death.

A lot of fun, but an unforgiving course - if you're out of bounds, ball is gone - beautiful desert course, lot's of wildlife roaming around.

Today I played with a threesome starting time 1214 pm. Getting check in was awesome and fast. However the players in front of us was 1 hour behind as they wouldn’t let us play through. Ranger and staff was aware however never did anything about it. We had to skip two holes. Amazing course but sometimes you get players who play very very slow. It happens anywhere but Today was the worse I came across.

This is a fun layout. Greens are fast and fairways are firm.

Played the first nine holes in just over 9 hours! WOW! Fairways and bunkers are in horrible condition.

This course touts itself as a “standard of excellence” golf course; (and charges at that prideful rate)…tasteless and shameful! Please clean up your course and do a better job on controlling a pace of play that allows ALL to move forward at a reasonable pace. NOT 3+ HOURS FOR NINE HOLES! And, yes, I’m a little irritated about my recent golf experience today. You’ve set a new “standard of experience” in golf. You’ve lowed the bar!

This course has been going down hill for a while. They don’t allow walking but they don’t have enough carts so sometimes you have to wait, go figure. Fairways are great, for putting the ball. Grass is nonexistent. Greens, good luck to you bouncy, bouncy. Again, this is $20 course and that is pushing it.

Nestled at the base of the Angeles National Forest, this fantastic Jack Nicklaus designed golf course is as nice of a public golf course that you will find.

The course was in great condition and the greens were fast and true and ungulated, so take your time reading putts.

Staff was friendly and made me feel like I was at a private club.

You need to be spot on on every green or expect to add strokes to your putting stats for this course
