Golfer Reviews
Beautiful Day - Beautiful Course
Ashton Hills was in great shape. Initially, I was not prepared for the somewhat speedy greens, but, as the round went on, I finally adjusted to them. The staff was nice and friendly, as was the cart lady. some of the other courses that I have played so far this year, it was really great to be able to experience a very nice course. Keep up the great work there, Ashton Hills; your place is a winner in my book.
Ashton Hills Golf Review
I had the opportunity to play a round of golf at Ashton Hills yesterday, and overall, the golfing experience was very enjoyable. The course was in excellent condition and clearly well-maintained. It appeared that the greens had recently undergone aeration, so while they were healthy and rolling well, there was still some residual sand present. That is understandable as part of the recovery process.
The course layout itself is outstanding. It offers a great balance of playability and challenge, requiring strategic shot selection while providing an enjoyable experience for golfers of varying skill levels. The condition of the fairways, tee boxes, and greens reflected the effort being invested in maintaining the course.
Unfortunately, the experience at the grill significantly detracted from an otherwise positive day. Our group placed our food order while we were on the eighth hole, anticipating that it would be ready for a quick pickup at the turn. However, when we arrived at the grill, we waited more than 20 minutes for our food. During that time, three groups were forced to play through and continue ahead of us, disrupting the pace of play and creating an unnecessary delay.
To further compound the issue, I specifically requested that the condiments for my chicken sandwich be placed on the side. That request was overlooked, and the sandwich itself was disappointing in both quality and preparation.
In summary, the golf course exceeded expectations and provided a great playing experience. However, the grill operations need significant improvement, particularly regarding order timing, customer requests, and food quality. Addressing these issues would greatly enhance the overall experience for golfers visiting Ashton Hills.
Course in good condition overall
Greens in good condition, fairways were pretty good considering lack of rain lately
Fun, challenging course. Always in good condition with the fairest price.
Great experience!
Played here twice with a buddy in mid-April. Course was in good shape in spite of the lack of rain. Nice greens that will be even nicer as they grow out a bit more and become more consistent. Loved the layout.
All great , layout , staff and friendly staff
Good layout , staff courtesy, staff friendly and flat out nice people
Appreciate the round will play again

Excellent course!
Had a great spring golf round with my friends at Ashton Hills Golf Club. Challenging but fun layout. Greens are super fast so be ready to swallow a lot of 3 putt pills. Will definitely be back soon.
The course was in pretty decent early March condition
Greens were fast and fabulous..
Not much grass on fairways to be expected
It has dried out pretty well
Some really great holes on the Course
Number 14 is one of the hardest par 4s
Par threes are outstanding
Par 5 8th is an excellent hole
Hole 17 is solid hole
Doing work to right of 18 now .. brings in out of bounds
Unnecessary poor experience.
I’ve played this course a number of times, and my experiences have typically been very positive. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating — until this most recent visit.
I booked a 7:30 a.m. tee time through GolfNow. Upon arrival, I was informed by a staff member, Tanner Jacobs, that the time I booked was “invalid.” I was then charged approximately 40% more than the confirmed price I reserved online.
In addition to the unexpected price increase, the interaction itself was disappointing. The communication was short, abrupt, and dismissive, which made the situation even more frustrating.
Overall, this was a very poor experience, and unfortunately it has caused me to reconsider returning in the future.
Indiana guy learned to play hills
I was fortunate enough to get 4 rounds in here while on a trip. The course layout was great and very challenging to a northern Indiana flat lander. For me the greens were firm and super fast and very challenging. Being there in February everything was dormant but the course was still gorgeous, I can only imagine how incredible it looks in the summer. I dealt with several different staff members from what seemed like owners to like 4 different bar staff as well as maintenance guys on the course and literally none of them could have been more friendly and helpful. The carts were nice and roomy and with nice GPS units. Overall just a great experience all 4 times. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could. Well done all the way around.
