La Quinta Mountain: #15
#15 on La Quinta's Mountain is laying along the base of the mountains - stay tight to the base and go for this par 5 in two. The green stays snug up against the base and will not be in full view.

5/5, hard but beautiful

5/5. Would play again. A few blind shots which keeps groups waiting. Driving range is irons only. Almost every hold made you stop and take in all the beauty. Felt like a vacation.

This course was epic! Worth every penny. My wife rode and she loved it. She asked about getting into playing golf fort the first time after the round! Thank you.

PD Mtn Course

Played this course on Tuesday April 4, 2023.

Really unique mountain course for me (I normally golf in Alberta and BC). I liked the layout. My comments are as follows:

. Houses on back nine did not really come into play

. Greens were small and skewed to faster and at times it was a challenge to make balls stick

. Driving range is small and busy and on this day the hitting area was moved up and we could only hit irons

. There are multiple tee boxes to allow for players of a variety skill levels to find something to suit them

I managed to get a $200 green fee and I thought that was a fair price

Great, but...

On the day we played, the entire driving range was unavailable due to an event taking over that entire space, with loud music booming out over all the 1-9 holes. Very irritating for golf! Additionally, we had to start our round on the 10th. Play throughout was extremely slow. For someone who plays this excellent course several times each year, it was disappointing that we were not informed in advance of the event situation, and that no compensation was offered for the lack of driving range and the noisy environment.

Excellent Course!

Given the many options of golf courses to play in Palm Springs/La Quinta area, this Course definitely is unique. The mountain course with its landscape is beautiful and challenging. I highly recommend this golf course along with the two other Pete Dye courses in La Quinta.

Too hard for a resort course. Rough higher than PGA tour....too many deep deep bunkers guarding the greens

Tired facilities , landscaping needs major update

The driving range was closed. Course condition was good , but fairly unimaginative with the exception of the holes adjacent to the the mountains.

One and done.

Fun Course with Brutal Pace of Play

Really like the mountain course because of the fun variety of holes and good setting in the mountain cove. That said, our round took 5 hours, the groups in front of us repeatedly took 10+ minutes on greens, spent several minutes looking for balls even in the native hazard areas. We brought it up to the ranger when they came around and they proceeded to do nothing about it.

Great Views

What a fantastic track! Surrounded by the rocky mountains of Palm Springs, this course did not disappoint! The fairways were like playing off carpet, the rough (don't go in it), was like a penalty in itself. The greens ran true, but I found had to read. Overall, another great experience playing at PGA West!

Colorado Golfer

Don't play here for the cost. Driving range was closed for a party set up. No food accept for an extremely small concession. Small table to eat at that was full. Rangers were not doing their job. Could literally see 5 groups of golfers waiting on two holes. Ranger would just drive by crowds without directing people to pick up or move on. Cart broke down at 16. Help button on cart advised no help so call golf shop. Golf shop closed. When we called PGA they said they couldn't do anything because they were at the Stadium course. Ended up putting 4 people in one cart to get back to club house. Guys at the club house gave us the name of Brian Stastny. We called Brian and he never called back. For this kind of money this was TERRIBLE!!!!!!
