Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa - Pete Dye Resort Course

I’ve played here several times over the years. I enjoy the layout and the course conditions were good. The only thing that could make it better is if the staff and starter were more attentive to the groups going out,

I was playing as a single, and the other people in the tee time didn’t show, so instead of putting me out with the twosome or threesome a few tee times before mine I had to play as a single behind two foursomes which makes for a long day.

They were ten minutes behind for tee times, which could’ve easily been made up by adding a few groups together instead of putting people out as singles and twosomes. This is one of the main contributors for slow rounds.

Still an enjoyable round on a well designed and conditioned course.

Good Layout and course conditions. Paid $99 and managed to get the round in starting at 12:24. Slow play but it’s a resort course so no surprise.

Enjoyed the course . We played in 4 hours and the course was in good shape. The only issue we had was that the bag drop that was not staffed. We had to go inside the hotel to notify someone that our clubs were at the bag drop and to have someone pick them up. There should better signage to direct golfers from the parking lot to the pro shop. Both the starter and caddies needed a lesson in friendliness/ customer service.

Had a great day. Challenging but fair. Great condition. Would definitely play again.

Course was fun to play. Opportunities for birdies as well as water to challenge shot selection. Greens don't seem to heal well as past ball marks very evident. Staff were helpful and friendly, including starter, shuttle drivers, and snack/lunch bar staff. Worth a play.

To echo some recent previous reviews, all was good once we started playing the round but prior to our tee time, it was frustrating. We weren’t given our power cart until less than 5 minutes before tee-off and only after asking about it a few times. Course was in good shape but I’ve played nicer courses in the area and for less money.

I always enjoy the Westin Pete Dye course, and this was no exception. Course was in great shape, staff was super friendly and the conditions were perfect. Be careful on the cart paths in the morning though, they’re often wet and I actually slipped and fell on hole 13
