Challenging course with great bent grass greens.
We played as a twosome and finished in little more than 3 hours. Great were great but fairways not as well kept.
Great layout
Nice layout,. Very challengingly and requires some club selection.
Front 9 and back 9 are entirely different.
Played 2 days after heavy rains and the fairways had not drained/dried (cart path only all 18 which was the reason for the time to play). Front 9 relatively flat. Back 9 like a rollercoaster and challenging. Enjoyed it.
Short course, nice layout
Nice course for the money, front 9 open and the back nine has blind shots and follows a creek
This course is now a Diamond Resort..
Before purchased by Diamond the course had fallen into disrepair. We played in April 2013 and could see the potential for a cordial if not easy round of golf once Diamond addresses some cart path and grounds issues (relatively minor ones). Given enough time and attention I believe this little course could be quite nice. Until then go with 2 stars in mind as a rating and you won't be disappointed.
Beautiful & Relaxing Round of Golf
No better setting than the mountains of East Tennessee for a round of golf. Bent Creek offers an incredible view of the mountains and rivers while providing a FUN and challenging round of golf. Well worth the drive.
Beautiful course. But challenging
Even though it is winter the course was in very good shape. We really enjoyed our day.
Worth playing here!!
Friendly staff. Fun course. The creek meanders through the course making it very pretty and challenging for those who have difficulty hitting arching shots. The back nine have beautiful views and calls for accurate shot making. Strongly recommend the course.
Nice course close to Gatlinburg
I have played this course many times and love it. Offers both open fairways and tight dog legs with rolling hills.
Fun to Play
This is a great course for something different. The front 9 is pretty standard as courses go, dog legs, sand, water and gently rolling. The back 9 is a really fun and challenging mountain course with lots of surprises requiring strategy to compete.
I really enjoy the course and recommend it to my friends.
BACK 9 IS AWESOME
This course is pretty nice,we were there on vacation and wanted to play some MOUNTAIN golf,so my son in law and I booked a round, the front 9 while challenging was a little boring ,but the back 9 was awesome !!!!! We are going back on Sunday to play the back 9 again,,,,,,,,
some crazy short holes on back nine
good holes on front nine. first few holes are very good. back nine is probably more fun to play after 3 or 4 rounds to get used to lay out. all in all a fun course.
difficult and lots of water
some holes border on being unfair for someone not familiar with the course because of blind drives into unseeable terrain
Great course
Bent Creek is a very nice course. Just wish they offered more off on rounds. Great, thanks
Used to be nice....
Being customary in my family for the men to play golf on wedding days, I brought my son and his groomsmen here to celebrate the event. I personally had played this course several years ago and remembered it being very nice. Course conditions were not at all bad. Besides being a little wet which was expected, overall the course itself was in decent enough shape. The problem I had, and the reason I will never go back to this course, was groundskeepers all over the course with weedeaters and lawn mowers, everywhere. They were beside greens, next to tee boxes and were oblivious to people trying to enjoy their golf game. For instance, on either 7 or 8, we were on the tee box......a small creek crossing over the front of the tee box rightly 40 yards in front of us, there were 3 guys weed eating the creek. They didn't offer to move...nor shut down...nor even acknowledge the fact that we were waiting on them. This was the most memorable moment.... Along with the constant noise standing over a putt or guys actually talking to each other besides the tee box when you are trying to tee off. I was extremely disappointed with our experience there. And no, I didn't say a word at the proshop. They knew exactly what was going on on their course. This very average course, if not even below average, charged us $50 per person to play when we could have easily played elsewhere much nicer for a lesser fee. I personally will never be back.
fun and challenging
Course is awesome, just needs more maintenance and it would be amazing. Will test any skilled golfer, lots of fun. Would pay a lot more if kept up, with that said super value for your $ and a very challenging course with nice greens.
some directional markers not right
some directional markers not right They indicate to hit in an area but you really need to hit to a different area. Hard to fin your way around on some holes and tees. difficult to find balls out of the fairway. greens were slow. hazards not marked always.
super tight fairways in places. It was panoramic and reasonably priced.
Fun Course
Like playing 2 different golf courses. Front nine flat and back nine a mountain course.
BEAUTIFUL COURSE WITH CHALLENGING HOLES
I AM A BEGINNER TO GOLF AND THIS COURSE WAS A DEFINITE CHALLENGE TO ME. THE CONDITION OF THE GREENS AND FAIRWAYS WAS IMMACULATE. THERE ARE TONS OF WATER HAZARDS AS THE CREEK WINDS THROUGHOUT THE COURSE. IT IS A VERY BEAUTIFUL AND PEACEFUL SETTING TO RELAX AND ENJOY THE GAME. THE FRONT NINE ARE MUCH MORE OPEN AND EASIER WHEREAS THE BACK NINE ARE LOCATED IN MOUNTAINOUS TERRAIN OFFERING CHALLENGES. THERE IS A NICE LITTLE PRO SHOP ON SITE AS WELL AS A SNACK BAR/GRILL ALONGSIDE THE CREEK. THE COURSE IS LOCATED AS PART OF A RESORT THAT OFFERS CONDOS AND ALL OF THE AMENITIES IF YOU NEED ACCOMODATIONS WHILE THERE. THE ONLY DRAWBACKS FOR ME WAS THE BITING GNATS OR FLIES THAT WILL DRAW BLOOD WHEN THEY ATTACK, SO YOU BETTER BRING SOME OFF! SPRAY WITH YOU. I ENJOYED MY TIME THERE AND WILL SURELY RETURN AGAIN SOON TO PLAY ANOTHER ROUND!
