difficult and lots of water

some holes border on being unfair for someone not familiar with the course because of blind drives into unseeable terrain

Used to be nice....

Being customary in my family for the men to play golf on wedding days, I brought my son and his groomsmen here to celebrate the event. I personally had played this course several years ago and remembered it being very nice. Course conditions were not at all bad. Besides being a little wet which was expected, overall the course itself was in decent enough shape. The problem I had, and the reason I will never go back to this course, was groundskeepers all over the course with weedeaters and lawn mowers, everywhere. They were beside greens, next to tee boxes and were oblivious to people trying to enjoy their golf game. For instance, on either 7 or 8, we were on the tee box......a small creek crossing over the front of the tee box rightly 40 yards in front of us, there were 3 guys weed eating the creek. They didn't offer to move...nor shut down...nor even acknowledge the fact that we were waiting on them. This was the most memorable moment.... Along with the constant noise standing over a putt or guys actually talking to each other besides the tee box when you are trying to tee off. I was extremely disappointed with our experience there. And no, I didn't say a word at the proshop. They knew exactly what was going on on their course. This very average course, if not even below average, charged us $50 per person to play when we could have easily played elsewhere much nicer for a lesser fee. I personally will never be back.

fun and challenging

Course is awesome, just needs more maintenance and it would be amazing. Will test any skilled golfer, lots of fun. Would pay a lot more if kept up, with that said super value for your $ and a very challenging course with nice greens.

some directional markers not right

some directional markers not right They indicate to hit in an area but you really need to hit to a different area. Hard to fin your way around on some holes and tees. difficult to find balls out of the fairway. greens were slow. hazards not marked always.
super tight fairways in places. It was panoramic and reasonably priced.

BEAUTIFUL COURSE WITH CHALLENGING HOLES

I AM A BEGINNER TO GOLF AND THIS COURSE WAS A DEFINITE CHALLENGE TO ME. THE CONDITION OF THE GREENS AND FAIRWAYS WAS IMMACULATE. THERE ARE TONS OF WATER HAZARDS AS THE CREEK WINDS THROUGHOUT THE COURSE. IT IS A VERY BEAUTIFUL AND PEACEFUL SETTING TO RELAX AND ENJOY THE GAME. THE FRONT NINE ARE MUCH MORE OPEN AND EASIER WHEREAS THE BACK NINE ARE LOCATED IN MOUNTAINOUS TERRAIN OFFERING CHALLENGES. THERE IS A NICE LITTLE PRO SHOP ON SITE AS WELL AS A SNACK BAR/GRILL ALONGSIDE THE CREEK. THE COURSE IS LOCATED AS PART OF A RESORT THAT OFFERS CONDOS AND ALL OF THE AMENITIES IF YOU NEED ACCOMODATIONS WHILE THERE. THE ONLY DRAWBACKS FOR ME WAS THE BITING GNATS OR FLIES THAT WILL DRAW BLOOD WHEN THEY ATTACK, SO YOU BETTER BRING SOME OFF! SPRAY WITH YOU. I ENJOYED MY TIME THERE AND WILL SURELY RETURN AGAIN SOON TO PLAY ANOTHER ROUND!

Relaxing, scenic and fun course!

This course was fun and challenging. A lot of effort has gone into making players have a description and tips. Bugs are bad, so take bug spray and sunglasses. We liked this course enough that we went back for another round of 27 holes later in the week.

The course is in excellent shape, greens are well maintained. The staff friendly. The screened porch-type grill sits by a stream and is perfect place to get a snack, lunch, or just relax.

Target Golf

Greens were very slow. Gnats were constantly swarming around your head even using bug spray. The back nine especially was target golf. One par four required a 150 yd.
placement off the tee. I cannot recommend playing there.

Good course but do not want to play it again.

The course was in good shape. Some holes were easy and some very difficult. The course has a wide range of shots that a golfer will need to make. The reason I would not want to play again is due to the gnats that were on the course.

My favorite course in this area

I played this course about 10 times over the past 5 years (always on vacation) and it is my favorite course along with River Strand in Kodak. We played this course twice the same day both under 3½ hours and it was in great condition despite the 6 inch rain it had 2 days earlier. The course is not very long but challenging and has everything a golfer loves to see. Reachable Par 5, sometimes narrow fairways, couple crazy holes, doglegs, streams. Super friendly staff, they even let us stay overnight on the Parking Lot with our 26 foot RV, which we honored with 3 rounds of Golf and shopping in the Pro Shop. If you are in the area, you definately have to play this course, its a beauty and you will always remember this course. Love No 10, over two large streams. It's a jewel!

Nice mountain views, back nine are challenging up and downhill

I played this course about 5 times over the past 5 years and it's always nice to come back. The pace of play is usually rather slow as alot of tourist are in this area. The first nine holes are little up and down, not really difficult but the back nine trough valleys and mountains is beautiful. I'm a scratch player so I play the back tees and except Par 5, No 9, all are reachable. The course is in good condition (September 2012) the greens where ok, punched a couple of weeks ago, playable, good, but not great. There are some really nice holes, like No 1 as you stand on a high tee box right off the Club House. No 9 Par 5 as you go uphill to an elevated green. The back nine has plenty of challenging hole including the 300 yard drop Par 3. This is a must play if you are in the area, they have a practice green, a chipping green with bunker but no Driving Range. Overall Rating 4, would be a 5 with faster play and better Greens.

Challenging Course

Scenic surroundings, challenging course, very nice greens. Cart paths could use some attention. Staff was friendly and helpful. Fairways could use some markers to help with distance.

Great course. Challanging but fun on the back nine

This was a great course. The backnine requires excellent placement of shots to score well.
