Cypress Ridge Golf Course
About
Cypress Ridge Golf Club stretches along the Central Coast, taking its name from the abundant cypress trees that are scattered throughout the course. The scenic and hilly terrain is the star of this layout, it provides challenging ups-and-downs but also stunning views. The smooth, fast greens are often elevated, as are many of the tees. The strategic placement of the bunkers was determined by the natural contours of the landscape. Though the golf course has many challenges to offer, playability is also a key feature. Golfers of all skill levels can approach Cypress Ridge Golf Club with confidence. Water does not have a prominent presence but it does come into play on the finishing par-5 hole. The golf course is a local favorite for both the enjoyable round itself and the friendly staff.

cypress
great course, conditions with some challenging shots, the pace of play wasn't good but don't let that keep you from playing this course.
Favorite course in the area
I’ve played 6 different courses on the central coast (so far) and this is by far the best course. Awesome staff, gorgeous course, kept up extremely well. Weekday twilight prices are a steal. I rode on a Sunday morning and the price was a little steep but the course is so nice it was without a doubt worth it.
Cypress Ridge
Walked the Blues (6443/71.3/128) early morning in 4H, 15M on their $44 Sr. rate. Paired with Greg, we played in sunny, breezy conditions in the mid 60's.
COVID-19: 1 rider to a cart. Doodles in the bottom of the cups. No on course services. Tee times on line or on the phone.
Peter Jacobson design with lots of elevation changes, rolling hills, tight, tree lined fairways and large, sometimes severe greens. Mostly poa annua grass throughout the course.
Tees had good coverage and were good to play from.
Rough close to the fairways was mowed down and nicely maintained, usually good to play from. Rough farther from the fairways was 1-2' tall, forget it, lost ball.
Fairways have lots of undulation and were good to play from. Usually a nice cushion.
Sand was decently maintained. More fine dirt than sand, but okay to play from.
Large greens were firm and quick, especially downhill. The ball rolled very well.
Customer service was good from all encountered. Busy driving range and they have a putting and chipping practice area. Carts are basic, no GPS. Very nice layout, fun course in very good condition. Recommended.
Best value on the Central Coast
I will probably regret writing this review. The staff at the pro shop are friendly and accommodating. The course is in great condition!!! The rates are competitive ( $45.00 after 2 , cart included). The pace of play is excellent. Under 4 hours for 18 ( behind a group that was exploring every area of the course).
Great course!
Cypress Ridge is a challenging, fun course at a great cost. I felt like this course should have cost twice the amount that it did based on how nice it was. I was visiting from out of town, but will definitely play again when I come back to the area.
Great course
Fairways are beautiful. Nice greens. A perfect day of golf
Great course!
Wonderful golf course and a great value. One of the best in this area. Looking forward to many rounds the summer. New ownership is doing and wonderful Job. Great to have a place like this to spend time during this crazy time in a lives.
Cypress Ridge
It was a long drive for us but when you want to play you go the extra mile. Pro shop is being updated so just checked in and did a bathroom run and was off to the first tee. It’s a nice course. Temperature was nice mid 70’s, greens were quick and carts were fairly new. Worth $69? Hmmmm that’s debatable. Won’t be making that long drive again, if I don’t have to.
Extremely Professional Staff, Incredibly good conditions
Had the time of my life today playing in the new safe environment they have created during these challenging times. Everything went seamlessly and everyone was being respectful of the 6 foot rule. Course was amazing and I will be back for sure.
Hidden little jem
Great course in beautiful setting, this was first time playing, very challenging from back tees but playable all levels from front tees, nice elevation changes, nice dog leg holes, fast and true greens... I really had good time playing course and will reacommend to my Monterey buddies.
Great condition!!!
I have nothing bad to say about the course . The greens are very nice !! The staff is super friendly. Slow groups should let smaller groups play through.
Prices are now more reasonable under new ownership using Golfnow. Friendlier staff. New carts allowing one golfer per cart during pandemic and holes made shallower so you don't have to touch the pin. Grass is in great shape. Cart paths need a bit of repair. Sand traps are a disaster due to the rains.
Love the course
Drove from San Jose to play here, one of the only courses open due to the coronavirus. Staff was friendly, course played great and got done in about 3 and half hours! Def would recommend this course to anyone.... bunkers were the only down part, muddy or hard sand... but that’s expected with all the rain’
