About
Nestled in the foothills of Riverside County, Indian Hills Golf Club incorporates a range of different elevation changes. The elevated tees provide great views of the surrounding hills while the tricky raised greens make up the bulk of the course's difficulty. Conveniently, the spacious layout doesn't have any parallel fairways. The undulating terrain guarantees that you'll come across a few uneven lies and there are also a few tough blind shots in store. Water hazards come into play on a few holes as do strategically placed bunkers but the focus remains on the dramatic drops and rises of the terrain. There is an especially daunting drop on the 16th hole. The challenging layout and scenic views have built Indian Hills' reputation as one of southern California's best public golf courses.

Good condition and good weather
It was a pleasant day for golf. We played on Monday which was not a busy day. Course was in a good condition and we finished a round under 3 hours.
Good conditions without a lot of players
The staff said most mondays are not busy. We foursome started shortly after 12 Pm and finished before 3;20. The course conditions were good and the weather was perfect. We had a good round.
Bad attitude
The starter at the pro shop set the tone for the course.
She had a bad attitude and showed that she did not care if you played or not. When I walked in I introduced myself and said that I had a tee time for 1:50. She said no you don't with out even consulting the computer. After a bit of discussion and looking , low and behold she finds it.
The course was not much better. Huge swaths of every fairway were marked as ground under repair. Bunkers were inconsistent as were the greens. Some fast, some slow, some smooth and others very bumpy
Hidden gem
Course is in very good shape, greens are coming in after aeration and rolling true. Great pace of play and friendly staff.
Backed up
It was a Sunday of course pace of play would be anticipated to be slow but geez the greens were good fairways were also good however if it was not for the cart girl the day would have been a waste the pace was in need of a Marshall to move pace of play just to overbooked !
It would have been nice if a tournament had not started on back nine before we finished our round. why not tell us or start them with a shot gun start earlier..
