Indian Hills Golf Club

We were lucky to play in just over 4 hours but sounds like that maybe isn’t the norm here. There are a lot of neat shots and cool holes but the conditions leave something to be desired. Greens were bumpy and did not roll true was the main issue.

The pace of play is horrible on Sunday afternoon. Need to space golfers better.

Course profile says that pull-carts are available to rent but they said flat out that no pull-carts. Staff was friendly and apologetic about it.

Course is walkable but be ready for some elevation changes as the clubhouse sits at the summit in the center of the course and for example #1 tee box overlooks huge drop-off for a medium length par 4. Also the distance from #8 green to #9 tee box is over half mile through the neighborhood. Course conditions better that most peer courses, except some of the fairways were clumpy and bare spots.

Houses line both sides of most fairways and while in reality they are far enough off the fairway, the perception from a lot of flight lines makes it seem like they are too close. We were a bit apprehensive about using driver and/or ripping away unleashed due to that perception.

The course / clubhouse is adjacent to a wedding garden so need to avoid / observe wedding activities, but not a big deal.

I would play here again if in the area.

Course condition is way better than last time played a few months ago, and staff very friendly. Keep up the good work!

I used to play here every 6 weeks or so for about 15 years. We moved away 20 years or so ago. Recently moved back so I decided to play here on my birthday. I was reminded how much I love this course. I had a great round. Burger at the turn was even good.

why rushed to get cart back by 4:45 p.m., not yet dark....shouldn't start after 1:00 p.m. due to closing cart garage.

6:48 tee time on a Saturday, had our 4sum hitting by 7 am. We were off the course by 11:00, pretty good. Good course, not long, a few short par 4’s on both sides that give you a chance to score low. Fun, elevated tee’s and 500+ yard finishing hole on the back 9. Greens were firm, but, really need to be rolled, very bumpy. No driving range, small putting area, be ready to play upon arrival.

I have been coming here for 35 years. Seen a few management changes along the way. Homes have gobbled any vacant land around the property over that time. The facilities are dated, run down and, in need of repair. I hope someone sees this jewel of the I.E. and invests in the modernization of this property.

This course is far from being a 4 star rating. Condition is poor. Aside from no consistency in the maintenance from hole to hole, the fairways were very rough. Bare spots and mud in the fairways, poor bunkers and greens that need more care.
