Grand/Royal at Grand Palms Golf & Country Club
About
Twenty seven championship holes await travelers visiting south Florida's scenic beaches. Grand Palms Golf & Country Club in Pembroke Pines also offers three nines: Royal, Sabal and Grand. All three are famous for having some of the best greens in the area, and the golf courses are played in three separate combos. The Grand/Royal 18, designed by Ward Northrup, comes in at 6,881, most of which is blanketed with palm trees and tropical foliage. The longest and most challenging of the Grand Palms' golf courses, Grand/Royal features some especially memorable water holes. A tight layout with raised greens (perfect for testing your shot-making talents), beware the Grand's bunkers, strategically placed along the greensides.

They should be ashamed to charge this much!
This golf course was charging $45 a golfer for 18 holes and a cart but they put you on a course that isn’t playable! The tee boxes and fairways are fine but the GREENS ARE UNPLAYABLE! It is really like someone took a wedge and slammed it every 3 feet on every green. It isn’t even worth lining up a putt or trying. They should really be ashamed to charge that much for that bad of a course.
Nice course
Layout and condition were very nice. Only downside is the condition of the greens- however they are currently being worked on. In a week to 10 days will absolutely play there again
Lost cause
The fairways are in decent enough shape but every single green is in total disrepair, pretty sad
tight layout
12 of 18 greens were unputtable, the other 6 had major blemishes leaving my threesome in a quandry some of the holes in the green area were 4 to 5 inches wide we played the course but it was unanimous this course is out of our future!!!
Greens are trash
Don’t do it or at least ask if their greens have been repaired.
Disgusting greens
Every (18) green was unplayable. Bare spots, burnt areas, ground under repair ON THE GREENS. Shameful that they charge their regular full price and not tell you this at minimum it should be half price. You literally cannot have one putt Anywhere without a huge imperfection, changing the course of the ball even two footers
Greens in horrible shape
Course doesn’t drain well but playable tee boxes and fairways after the recent rains. Greens were disturbingly bad. Should not charge $10 to play those. And no warning from the staff. Likely not playing again all summer. Don’t know that they would get them right before after fall.
Horrible
Don't get fooled by website pics. This course is in terrible shape. Looks like they are just letting it go and may not even be here in a year or 2. Weeds and sparse or no grass everywhere including greens. Greens have huge holes all over them...like giant dead pochmarks everwhere so putting is impossible with your ball just being thrown all over the place when it hits the hundreds of divots on the green. Nothing good to say about this place.
Hard Course
Was looking forward to playing this course but my God, the greens were the worst greens I’ve ever played. Patched all over. Automatic 2 putt, or more! Everything else was good but the greens really left a sour taste in my mouth. Won’t go back until they are fixed.
Condition of greens appalling
Yes, there had been torrential rain the week before, however, the greens were unplayable because they were pockmarked with circular depressions radius 4 to 6 inches where rogue grasses of nut sedge had been poisoned by herbicides. The rain may have washed away sand and grass seed used to fill the depressions, but no-one explained that before our round. No explanations were given and no apologies offered.
We love this course, long, difficult especially for players in their eighties. And we appreciate that the rainstorms of last week the real culprit, but I do think that some explanation would have been polite.
Just WOW
For the money I paid was not worth it! You can definitely find better places to play for same price and even cheaper! This course is by far the worst course I’ve played on! The greens were unplayable can not putt!!! Someone need to buy this course and give it some love it’s in a prime location, golf galaxy isn’t to far from it, this place should be rocking and fun to play instead just a disappointment
Has great potential but horrible greens
We played the Sabal and Royal courses and loved the layout and fairway conditions. But the greens were horrible. They were covered with dead patches in cup size circles that looked like someone tried to poison weeds. Pretty much unplayable with the ball rolling from grass to dead patches on the way to the cup, bouncing unpredictably. We were by new management that the greens will be repaired in a month. With good greens? this is a 4 star course.
Horrible conditions
The greens looked as it hail fell the night before and left divots all over on ever hole. You could not get a feel for a putt since it need to pass by what seemed like snow moguls to get to the pin. The tee box’s were also in bad shape. The grass looked like it hadn’t been cut in weeks. Just absolutely horrible. I’ve played here many times and it’s never been this bad. Will not be coming back. I used to think Bonaventure was bad but this took the lead.
Grand Palm review.
The golf course has potential. It is a shame that they have let it run down. I used to love going there but it is in bad shape. All 18 holes putting green in royal and sabal were not able to putt. I will not go back there again.
I’ve been playing there for 20 yrs. I haven’t played there in a year and was very surprised at how poor conditions are. Every single green was chopped up with divot marks covering the entire green. Dead grass and small debris. The course is unplayable as you cannot putt. You might as well take a stroke off every hole. It’s a shame because it used to be my go to course.
Unplayable
I took a guest. Big mistake. The course is a goner. It is impossible to putt because of the holes and bare spots on the greens. The rough had not been cut in weeks. All in all the place is a disaster. I do not think that Golf Now should not offer this course!
Unplayable
Greens looked like someone practiced their wedge shots on them. I played 3 holes and left. It is robbery that they are even open. Will be contacting golf now for a refund.
