Cypress Knoll Golf & Country Club

Gary Player designed layout provides the challenge for the avid golfer. Family owned GC. still working at getting it up to its original design. Some traps still in need of the white sand and a few back Tee blocks need to be maintained. Fairways and greens were in great shape. Great job by the new owners in getting this GC playable especially when some courses are closing down. Good value for the money and great dog/beer special at the turn.

Overall much better than the last time I played it 7 months ago. Greens were as good as some of the best courses I have played including Pine Valley the #1 rated course in the world according to Golf Digest. The tee boxes, with two or three exceptions were also in great shape. The fairways, rough and other areas were fair.

Great course, challenging layout. Greens were great and fast. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Fareways could be a little better.

I played this for the first time last week starting early and really enjoyed. Fairly challenging track with speedier greens that are smooth. Came back yesterday with a tee time of 0840,. Starter sent me to hole one, a par five, and there were people waiting on the tee box for two other groups further down towards the green. Painfully slow from the start and stayed that way. I ended up playing through 4 groups whom all reluctantly allowed me to. Get a Marshall out there!!!

The greens held my interest. They rolled smooth and had nice breaks. Not quite as fast as I’d like but reasonable. A couple holes had a visual that over challenged my commitment to the line. Fairways were in good shape but not perfect. All in all a very good value, I’ll be back.

Course is well laid out and the people in charge were fantastic. Got there early and they got us out early. Very challenging especially on the back side, but it's a fair track when you are accurate.

I played this course 3 times a week when I first started play the game! It was tough then as the new owners had just bought it! Kyle The was in charge of getting the fairway and greens in shape which he has! At the time when I played they were in rough shape and were always being worked on! I really like how the rough areas are being cut back to open up the fairways a bit, the greens have improved 100%. The new owners should be proud of the accomplishments that are be done. If I have a complaint it would be that the price to play is getting a bit high! But honestly I will be back on a regular bases!
