Mid Century Modern going to seed?
Located smack dab in the heart of Mid Century Modernism, Indian Canyons North is like an aged movie star wishing someone would take notice and turn the spotlight back on. There is so much history, clubhouse design and enjoyable challenge at North.. Yet, the center of activity is across the street at the uninspired South Club house. I get it, the South course is better both in challenge and maintenance. The clubhouse is your typical cookie cutter pro shop with a patio that offers more sun in the winter months. But we've all been there. It screams welcome to Fresno. The North however, has soul and there is no mistaking you are in Palm Springs. Give it a run, play some Sinatra and Martin on.your Bluetooth, check out the names on the lockers. Look past the deep wrinkles and botched plastic surgery. With some imagination, this course could be so cool.again and worthy of another close up.
course was ok, I played badly!
interesting course, but a bit too crowded. we followed a slow foursome and were a bit pushed by the folks behind us.
Indian Canyons North- Nice Day in the Desert
I have played both the North and South recently, and certainly the South is a better "golfers" course with more uniqueness and water. However, North was also very nice. Pretty flat, up and back layout, but you can't beat the views, while pace of play was good as were the bunkers. After noon it was $60.
Nice course
Very nice course. Greens are superb, but hard to read. Scenery is breath-taking. Thanks for an enjoyable round. Always a must play when in the desert..
Needs TLC
Could be a nice resort course. Cool houses to look at but all holes the same and fairways need mowing and collars around greens were in rough shape
Course is in great shape
Had a great time playing this course with 3 other players. Will come back again.
Potential
This is such a. Classic track. Would like to see the ownership group add a little love so they could combine the two course for stay and plays or even college / amateur tournaments. Guzzy this course up and market it aggressively This is a much better track then the South course!
Great Course for The Fee
First time played . Wonderful Staff, Great Pace of Play, Great Course Condition!
Highly Recommend
Even had a Cart Gal out on the Course
Pace
Course was too crowded; 12 min. t-time spacing would help; otherwise course was in very good condition and greens all consistent speed; all bunkers well maintained (no takes/COVID).
Fairways in good shape, rough a little patchy, greens ran nice and true.
Historic but tired course
Clearly all investment is going into the other Indian Canyons course. Play this one for a historical experience and/or to see a bunch of classic mid-century modern homes.
Indian Canyons Resort North Course
First time playing, Staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. The North Course is flat and most of the holes run straight. I played the Blue Tees, most holes were in the 400 yard range. Greens were in very good condition and held well, sneaky breaks, play less than you think...I would definitely play again!
Beautiful day for golf
The people at Indian Indian Canyon North in Palm Springs are friendly.
The staff is professional and knowledgeable. It was a beautiful clear day with very few slow downs. We played 18 holes in 4 hours with awesome fairways and greens. It’s a beautiful place to golf and enjoy your day. The
