Indian Canyons 03.24.2018
I love this place as I live on the 3rd & 4th holes. Staff is the Best, Views and the History of this Golf Course is amazing. I love the fact that I consider this course as my Back yard.
Gorgeous Course
Beautifully groomed course, tees, and greens. Pace of play was great. Not so difficult that an average golfer would struggle.
Fantastic views of mountain
We golfed early; 4 gals. We had two days of wind gusts and today there was no wind so it made for a perfect morning. Have your bag ready to drop off when you arrive as the pick up guys are efficient. Once you get inside to pay, the lady behind the counter is super efficient at the cash register, answering phones, taking payments, selling coffee and telling us about the apparel sales. Water is available in cups; bring your thermos to fill and water will stay cold. Tee boxes in good shape, some hard for pushing tees in. Found the greens fast, best to bump and roll onto the green for forward and middle flags. The 18th hole was the worst score for everyone as we tried to cut the corner (dogleg left) and ended up in the trees. There are houses lining the fairways but fairways are wide enough to accommodate draws and fades. Slices and hooks will get you into trouble. Rough is thick so choke down. Lots of fairway and green bunkers with packed sand so we avoided taking sand (bounce) with our sand shots. Lots of birdie and par opportunities in our group. After the round the pick up guys will clean your clubs and deliver them to your vehicle. We went to the restaurant across the street; food is good, meal portions are huge so great for sharing.
Old School Gem
Took a wrong turn then went to the South Course pro shop first, so we arrived without time to warm up or get our bearings, but everyone was very helpful and got us on our way. Conditions are excellent these days, with very healthy grass and well maintained greens running average speed, which I prefer. We were a bit wild (long layoff) but only donated one ball so there is enough room to miss on most holes. The Course winds its way through mid century mod homes, mostly w pools and very few fences, so if you like your architecture, you are in for a treat there as well. We paid $40 at 2pm and got around in under four hours so those two boxes got ticked, and the cart guy was extra chipper and helpful for a bonus tick. I will play here again.
Had fun but the guy who gets your clubs from the car is very miserable
Indian Canyons North is a nice layout
Always enjoy Indian Canyons North. Mature course with a great old style feel. Pace of play is usually much quicker than the South Course. The greens run pretty quick and are smooth. During the Winter time the rough is “up” so keep the ball in the fairway. Playing from the thick rough could
prove to be a tough chore. Number 18 is a wonderful finishing par 5 dogleg left with a second or third shot carry over water.
Great game but felt rushed
We totally enjoyed our game however the marshall told us to pick up the pace even thought we could see the group ahead. The two groups behind us got bunched up. They should increase the space between the tee times.
Great place to play
The staff at the desk were very cordial and accommodating. The course is in excellent shape
North course undervalued
South always favored (because no houses around
fairways) and North course has been the Cinderella
I was very positively impressed with the greens (better than South) Apart from the fact that players are responsible if their golf balls cause property damage
this course is better value for money. Again, a warning to huge hook or slicers: Play Cautiously, it could end up very expensive!
Mid Century Modern Architecture Surrounds Course
Always enjoy the views on this straightforward course. The course was in great shape and we were treated well by the course staff. My only disappointment was that the sand traps were hard packed and very difficult to make a shot - it was like hitting out of cement.
Flatness
Flat course with lush grass and close to perfect greens. Rough is thick(good thing) and plays pretty long for a 50 year old at 6900 yards.
Great value
I play this course regularly. We teed off at 2:20 and finished before dark. $35.00. Staff is fantastic. Greens are getting a little tired. I’ll go back again
