Crappy course
It rained the night before which didn’t help because it was cart path only but there is no GPS on the carts and no yardage markers on the course. Give me a 150 stake at least! One of the greens was so lumpy, it could not have been rolled since the last PGA tournament there years ago. Don’t waste your time and money!
Windy
The weather wasn't nice but overall we had a good time.
Not What it used to be
Golfed here a few times 6 years ago....it was spectacular, course was in amazing shape, greens were excellent. While I still enjoyed golfing here, I will not be back. The course was in poor shape for the money they charge.
Wow, they used to play the Honda classic here?
This course was just bad... after closing for the summer I’d expect them to do something to the course. Apparently not! Waste of money! Don’t play here.
This course just reopened. I found the fairways and greens in very good condition. Enjoyed the course. Will be back.
Wouldn't Play this course again for free
I played this course maybe 10 years ago and was very pleased with the condition. Just played last weekend and it looks like the greens-keepers and maintenance staff must have been affected by the gov't shut down. Weeds everywhere, tee boxes and fairways not mowed, bunkers in very poor shape, greens overgrown. Carts stalled out and were old, seemed like they needed new batteries. Tee box signage numbers have been replaced with stickers from Home Depot and home made stencils, looks horrible. So much sand, that many holes you hit a great drive land in the sand, hit a great 2nd shot and land in the sand again. Waste bunkers all over the place in the fairways, with very little grass to aim for. No beverage cart on the course. One bartender working at the Grille on the turn responsible for waiting on entire restaurant.
Monday play
Tees poorly marked, greens a little on the slow side, course sort of wet with no rain. Staff excellent!
On it's way back to greatness?
Played this course many times over the years. Great deal today. Tee boxes ragged with new grass planted and growing in patches that varied in height from hole to hole. Those newly mowed looked good. Fairways in good shape but one yard off the rough wasn't mowed. Spent a lot of time looking for balls just inches off the fairway. Greens newly planted and in good shape. Just a bit fuzzy. Boundary water edges being cleared, obviously a work in progress. Bunkers are like fine wet beach sand, make sure you have the right bounce in your wedges since there are a lot of them. Recently flipped 9's? Continue the good work, would love to see course back the way it was when the "Classic" was there.
Heron Bay
Golf course is state of serious neglect - tee boxes were Harry - long - fairways full of weeds and greens bumpy
I don’t see this course surviving - for sure being sold to developer soon
What a bad experience
After being closed for months we played the day after the course reopened. Eventhough they had months to prepare the course. . . the ball dispenser didn't work at the range, traps were hard and wet, fairways were almost unplayable do to water and poor maintenance, greens were slow and patchy with bare spots. Pace of play was 4 1/2 hrs after 8 holes. . . like most golfers that day we quit after 9 holes. Disappointing for a course with it's history. Oh yeah, the staff was just as surley as the course conditions.
Just re-opened and playing great!
The course just re-opened 2 weeks ago after being closed for 6 months. The greens are in great shape and rolling true. Well, I had 24 putts so they rolled for me today! The layout is fair, not too narrow but there’s enough water around if you’re not swinging confidently. Wind is a factor and some holes play really long and others can be flip wedges if you’re longer than average.
Don't bother
Went there yesterday. I have played in the past and it was a really nice course. Not so anymore. The greens didn't seem like they had been mowed in weeks. Same with the rough. It was windy and we spent a good amount of time in the rough. Very difficult to find balls with the rough as deep as it was. Further, the carts didn't have GPS's, and very few sprinklers were marked with the distnaces, and there were no markers in the fairways. Lastly, it seemed like the colors of the flags were the opposite of what you would expect (blue was front, red was back!).
Too bad. Used to be a really nice course. Won't be heading back.
Greens looked like they were painted
Disappointed, course was not in best of shape. Played course multiple times 7-10 years ago when course was in excellent shape. Seems to have suffered under new management.

The TPC glory is long gone
The staff was very friendly but that ends the good news.
The place is a dump and the layout is boring. they are closing for the summer. Close forever or fix the.
