Don't find yourself in here, on a par 3 on the back 9! Photo submitted by stratsville on 04/13/2013
Great course
The Oaks course has changed over the years because of storms that have removed some if the trees. If you hit a bad tee shot you wouldnt know that any trees have been removed. The course challenges you to be straight off the tee and accurate into the greens.
Nice Course
The greens were in pretty good shape the course is a bit challenging but overall was very nice and will back again.
Palm-Aire Cypress Well Conditioned
We were advised to play Cypress instead of Oaks because of some work being done on the Oaks. Good decision! Course was in excellent conditions, fairways and greens! Teed off at 9:20 and had course to ourselves. Played in under 3 hours. Great value for $30!
Greens improving
Been playing the course for years greens on the oaks are starting to clean up a bit other than that course is in solid shape
Good course but..
The Oaks is a good test but on a hot day (as the heat index was over 100) to have no beverage cart people on the course is inexcusable. The first we saw of anyone was on the 17th green!! Terrible, and a black mark to an otherwise good day.
The course was in good condition....however the greens were not. They were covered with sand....they were slow.....that was disappointing.
Worst shape in awhile
I have been playing this course for about 15 years and it has shown a decline this season which is unfortunate because it is always in good shape the greens are pretty beat up in the course need some R&R.
Greens and some fairways in need of work
Love the course layout and I have played the course many times over the last 18 years. It needs some work especially on the greens and the tee boxes leave much to be desired. With a little work it could be back to a course that they are charging $42 to play. Current conditions are more like $28-$30 for my money.
Pro shop staff wonderful as well as cart and restaurant. Food is always good as well as the service.
Nice cours
Fairways and greens in good conditions. Very friendly staff. Great layout.
Nice course
Tee boxes in poor shape but the fairways and greens were good.
Played Cypress Instead of Oaks
We were suppose to play oaks but man at front desk suggested we play cypress since it is in better shape. Glad we did. Have played it before. Fairways and greens in good shape. Tee boxes need some help. We were a twosome and finished in less than 3 hrs. Love the layout.
The Mighty Oaks!
The greens and fairways were beautiful: Well groomed and challenging without making you want to throw your clubs in some nearby body of water. The tee boxes were pretty beat up, it is true; however, every tee box should only require one shot from you unless you are a Mulligan Mulvaney. Otherwise, most were fine anyway. The staff is always great and friendly. I went with my father and we had a great time. I will be coming again, although I heard the Palms is now the course to see and less expensive.
Tired Track
Played the Oakss Course . Many tees in horrible shape and grass in fairways was inconsistent at best. Greens were in decent shape. Would find another course... not a good value for greens fee .
