Don't find yourself in here, on a par 3 on the back 9! Photo submitted by stratsville on 04/13/2013
Nice course, great staff.
I play regularly at the three Palm Aire courses.
I would say that Palms is the one I like most and Cypress is the better, more challenging one.
Oaks is in between. It is a nice course well kept but far from pristine but it is a great value.
We had a great round and an enjoyable day.
Great value for money
I played in the late afternoon so the fee was less than $20 for 18 holes so it was great value for money. Had a good fast round. It has pleasant surroundings and the greens were in pretty good shape. My only complaint was that some of the tee box were in bad shape and as well as a fee of the sand trap needed to be cleared of weeds. Other than that I had a great time. Well worth the money!
What you would expect
moderation is the watchword here. \\\\moerate challenges, moderate pace of play.
Pace of play
five hour round -- on the par three fourth hold there were literally three groups waiting to tee off. It improved somewhat on the back nine but this golf course is way overscheduling -- this is not the first time i've played there, but most certainly the last.
Great afternoon
For the end of March, course was in great shape! Staff was friendly and helpful Great value for the rates! Will definitely come back!
Enjoyed the Course
First time playing there. The best greens I have seen at the courses I played this month. Played from the white tees on a cold, windy day and found plenty of challenge. I plan on going again.
Nice track
Nice track well worth the 50.00 or so,fairways and greens were in great shape, would play here again.
Need some work
the tee boxes need much work and some fairways need some work. next time i'll play the Cypress and send a review
poor management
Teed off 45 minutes late due to waiting for womens outing. Women were very slow. No attempt to hurry them. Really bad experience.
Never on a Tuesday
We had a 9:30 tee time which the staff member at the front desk told us became a 9:45 tee time. When we went to the caddie master area it was total chaos - lots of golfers ready to play with nowhere to go. Why? The ladies were finishing their shotgun turn after the 18th hole. Our actual tee time turned out to be 10:15, 45 minutes behind schedule. We were the first group out behind the ladies. The last ladies group was two holes behind the group in front of them and who knows how far that group was behind the group in front of them. We had to follow them for 14 holes. Never saw a ranger all day. Apparently, this is a regular ladies outing every Tuesday. Management should offer the ladies a mandatory training session on how to keep up with the group in front of them. In addition, management should explain to the ladies the reason why there are rakes surrounding the sand traps because they apparently don't understand what they are for. We will avoid this course for a while until we hear that they have their act together.
