Cypress at Palm-Aire Country Club

First time at this location (I played Cypress) and it was one of the slowest rounds I’ve ever played. 5 1/2 hours Nearly 6…. Staff was very friendly but the course obviously can’t handle tee times that are 8/9 minutes apart. Ran out of golf carts as well which is the first I’ve ever seen. Ranger never made an appearance or attempt to speed up pace. Course conditions were typical for a public course. Greens were hit or miss, fairways weren’t bad, sand was decent, layout is extremely boring, tee boxes were just alright but they were fairly flat which is rare for public courses at this price. Course had a water cooler out front and a beverage cart coming around which you’ll probably only see once maybe twice a round. Slope/rating is much easier than advertised.

Cutting a little slack here because it’s been very dry. Tee boxes need a little work. Fairways are ok if you don’t play the ball down. Greens were fantastic! Played in 3 1/2 hours.

Beware - the address in GolfNow for all the courses is the same as the Palm Aire course. So when your uber drops you off, be ready for a rude front desk to tell you tough luck and call another Uber. This place needs a leag blower and a good pressure washing. Course is full and slow. Greens were i good shape, but everything else was hit or miss.

The fairways and greens are in good conditions. However, needs some improvements around the greens, lot of places where no grass.

The main problem is the slow play. Took more than 5 hours (5h15 min in total) to play,

Tees were slightly better this year. Greens were great (maybe because I putted well). Traps are hard, need sand. Fairways were better this year but grass was sparse in the rough..3:45 round when 2nd group out. Challenging , yet fun layout. Some hidden water.

Good value for the money, comparatively speaking.

During my round there was no sight of a ranger. The group ahead of us were three holes behind the group in front of them. This resulted in a five hour plus round.

During these five plus hours there was no sight of a cart girl

The bag drop process is a joke

Best course I have played at in South FL. Fairways perfect, green perfect and fast, lay out is great. Pace was perfect, not waiting and no one waiting on us. Staff was great, good ammenities. Maybe just need a new beverage cart. Overall 10/10, highly recommend.

The pace of play was absolutely the worst I had in years. Many slow players but that can be expected sometimes. The main issue for playing 14 holes in almost 4 hours is they set up roped off areas far out blocking carts and causing players to play extra slowly. I understand that they must protect the course in certain areas but this was ridiculous having them all over for no reason.

The course layout presents a decent challenge. The pace of play was poor. We played three days in a row and did not complete any of the rounds under 4:45.
