Cypress at Palm-Aire Country Club

I really want it like this course. It’s close, convenient, and the conditions are for the most part pretty good.

My problem with this course is the lack of standards for golf etiquette. I am by no means a golf pro, but there have been many times I am playing as a single or double, and a 4some would not let me play through. People park ON the greens. I was playing by myself, waiting on a 4some in front of me, when a 4some behind me starting hitting into me. I was clearly in view, and they just started hitting. I spoke with the starter, and while he’s a nice guy and acknowledges that it’s messed up, he says he “doesn’t get paid enough to enforce etiquette and rules.” I get it, but when players are destroying your greens by driving on them, and endangering other players by hitting into them, they should be kicked off the course.

It’s disappointing. It seems like they value the business more than they do upholding the tradition and etiquette that makes golf a great sport to play.

Overall, a great, convenient course to play that usually pretty consistent in terms of conditions. Just don’t expect any standards or golf etiquette to be upheld (I’ve played a 6 hour round before, as a 2some, because bigger groups won’t let smaller groups play through, and the bigger groups will take multiple drops and mulligans)

The Cypress Course at Palm Aire is a classic South Florida layout that offers a fun and fair round of golf. While it may not be as flashy or modern as some newer courses in the area, Cypress shines with its charm, solid conditioning, and enjoyable design. It’s a course you’ll want to come back to, whether for a casual round with friends or a regular stop in your golf rotation.

Current course conditions leave a lot to be desired compared to listed description. Layout was OK, but tee boxes and greens were not well maintained. Interesting practice area in that the range is hitting balls into a pond, so no real yardage markers or anything to gauge your shots on in that regard. Good sized short game practice area.

This course was in terrible shape, The fairways had large areas with no grass, fairway bunkers bled 10ft out of the edges and the greens had recently be aerated and sanded. I understand the need for the greens but there was no excuse for the fairways to be in such poor shape. This course was way overpriced for the condition. And the pace of play was pretty slow on top of everything else, had to wait to hit every shot. There are better courses available.

Good course. Ball placement is key since there are alot of bunkers and water hazards. Rest areas are ample along the course. Pace of play is excellent. Groups are well spaced apart and there is no feeling of being rushed throughout.

Course was okay condition, not great. But pace was terrible, and ranger was nonexistent

Pace of play was good, course conditions are average, beverage cart services three courses (palm, Cyprus and Oaks) so you don’t see beverage cart often.

Had a good time at check in. The lady was very nice and accommodating. Course was ok, fairway and rough were tough to distinguish from time to time and the a couple of the greens had bare spots and weeds. This the the 2nd of the 3 courses to play here. Next time we will play Pine and see which is the best!!

Slow greens, teed boxes were weeds, fairways were spotty, half lie good, the other half terrible. Every hole had a bunker in front of the green and the pin was tucked right behind it on a mound on the green. I am scratch golfer and love a challenge. It takes a lot for me to write a bad review. This course is hardly playable.

Played the Cypress course as a single on a Saturday morning in June. Good range and practice green. Friendly staff and good amenities. Tee boxes were a little chewed up here and there, but fairways and greens are solid. Great spot if your a public linx player and want to keep the round under $100.
