For the money, it's a good value.
Palm Aire, has 3 courses. In my opinion Cypress is the best of the 3. Greens are in good shape considering how dry the winter has been. Pace of play is always slow this time of year due to 70+ players and people that don't give a crap about pace of play...aka entitled snowbirds.
5 hr round
Good layout and challenging but I would hesitate to go back after 5 hr round.
5hr rounds don’t belong in golf
Excellent layout! A little difficult! They have to go to 20 min tee times
Better than many Florida courses
I really liked the different hole configurations and the size of the greens. It's hard to loose a ball here! For wintertime, the course was in good condition
overall ok
The clubhouse, parking lot, bag drop situation is awkward. Clubhouse staff was OK but the starter(s) were just in a hurry to push me to the first tee (even though I was there early). The first one instructed me to put my bag on "one of those carts up there and go to the first tee". At the first tee, I still waited about 15 minutes for the rest of my group (while I could have at least been on the putting green). The 2nd starter made me move my clubs to another cart rather than have 2 players in 2 carts. I get that, but it shouldn't have happened the way it did. Neither of the starters got a tip.
We have played the Cypress many times and it is the best Palm Aire course, in my opinion. The staff was friendly as usual. It seemed like today they had massively over-booked. Tee times every eight minutes and a shortage of golf carts meant that we started 15 minutes after our scheduled 1:40 tee time. It was a slow round, but we just managed to finish the 18th hole before darkness set in. I will continue to play the Palm Aire courses, but will definitely take into consideration the fact that it will be packed with tee times.
