Great course
Played here dozens of times. I highly recommend playing at PalmAire. Greens are recuperating nicely after duration. Awesome value. Easy to access course. Plenty of parking.
Should pay you to play.....
The worst conditions I ever played, tee boxes all over the place, under construction, I should have used my sand wedge on the PUTTING GREENS, there was hills of sand, could not putt them.
Extremely sandy greens
Course seems to be in a constant state of repair. Most of the tee boxes are torn up and ALL of the greens have SO MUCH sand on them. I get maintenance and aeration, but the amount of sand rendered the greens virtually unplayable. I'm not a prisoner of the moment, hence 3 stars. The layout is good and I "assume" the greens will get better, but there should be some notification about the condition of the greens. The practice greens were great leading me to believe that the rest of the greens would follow suit. At least sprinkle a whole bunch of sand on the practice greens so we can appropriately prepare for what's forthcoming. Been meaning to play this course for some now, too bad it was a disappointment.
Good weather
Greens aerated three weeks or so ago in good shape roll pretty well tee boxes need some work fairways were nice staff is always friendly would recommend.
Played well
Course conditions were fair pace of play was good considering it’s the summer one of my go to courses in the off season majority of tee boxes were full of weeds on cypress course greens were a 7/10 layout has had some trees removed opening up part of the course which is nice.
Just bad these days
Played 18 holes with no beverage cart or water anywhere on the course. Cypress course is in bad to decent shape. Greens were good, that’s it. It was also pretty empty, which wasn’t a bad thing for us; however, it’s a bad sign for the course. I’ll spend my money elsewhere going forward.
What have you done?
What have you done to both courses? The conditions of the tee boxes, fairways, and greens have been deteriorating and they are in the worst shape that I have ever seen. I used to play a lot on the Oaks and Cypress due to the fun and challenging layouts. Due to their overall worsening conditions, I don't even recommend them. It's sad to see such great courses are going downhill, fast!
Quick 18
I guess being that it was supposed to rain there was barely anyone on the course. Played in 3.5 hours.
Good layout
Tee boxes are under repair. Fairways in good shape. Greens are good, roll true. One of the better courses that we played this week. Will definitely come back again.
Poor condition
Tees-Fairways-Greens in poor condition.. How can they charge so much for a course in such mediocre condition.guess people are playing it as the parking lot is always full. Maybe oaks in better shape? Too bad another black mark for golf.
Worst clublink course in north america. Dog park.
First off, Extremely confusing to find the cypress course. Got there and still wasnt even sure if we were in the correct pro shop. Being from Canada, all the “Clublink” courses up here are in great shape almost any time you play them (play 3-4 different tracks a year). This was the largest reason we chose to play this course over the many options around the area. The first thing you notice is how dumpy the place is. Didnt find a level tee box all day, and not one of them had good quality grass. Weeds and sand on every single tee box. No clear yardage blocks on the tee decks to pace out and get a yardage. Fairways were the best part of the whole course but nothing compared to clublink tracks in Canada. We played around 10:30 and it was sunny and 30 degrees (think thats 80 something F) and even then the greens were So slow it was like putting on a shag rug. Also given how hot it was, we assumed the cart girl would be coming around frequently to supply us with water beer etc, but once we had reached the 10th and realized there was no halfway we had to call the club house to get the cart girl to come out and she met us at the 12th. Safe to say the course reminded us more of a cow pasture or dog park than a quality clublink course. Safe to say I would never go back, and I’m genuinely surprised clublink has an affiliation with palm aire, it is far from the quality I am used to seeing at their facilities. Wouldnt play for more than $20.
Better courses for similar price range to play
My first review on Golf Now because of such a bad day at this course. First - just trying to find it is not easy. The signs on the way in are not well marked. Google maps does not have the exact location of the Cypress course. I got lucky and saw a little sign that said Oaks/Cypress bag drop. Other than that you have to go in the Oaks club house to the Oaks Pro shop to pay for the unmarked Cypress course. The woman at the pro shop laughed at me when I said I could not find the Cypress pro shop because there is none. So if you have never been there before - make sure you know where you are going.
Then - I had 11:30 tee time for 2. We drove the cart away from the Oaks Shop and across the street to the Cypress starter. We got there at 11:10. There were 5 foursomes waiting at the tee box. So I putted and chipped for 10 minutes expecting to be called to tee off and nothing happened. I finally went to the starter to ask why I was not playing and he said there would be a delay. What happened I asked - there was a group (maybe 11:00) who did not tee off for some reason until 11:15 and the starter DID NOTHING to make them tee off. He basically was not even watching. Then the starter told me that the next group was 4 - foursomes of 'regulars' who had more people show up than they were expecting and he just let them take all the tee times even though they did not have any. "Nothing I can do" the starter told me. So we ended up 40 minutes late for tee off. I had a guest with me or I would have just left.
But the real reason not to play here is the place is a dump. The tee boxes are sand and weeds. The fairways are good enough but nothing special. The greens are very slow. I usually play at Osprey Point, Atlantic National and Atlantis. All have great greens that are reasonably fast. For the $67 I paid to play this place I would pay a little more to play the other places for sure or go to Pompano Muni course and get the same conditions for less money
Cypress jungle
We played Cypress. The course in its day I am sure was beautiful and could be if it was cared for. Condition was awful, tee decks uneven, full of weeds, fairways also full of weeds and clover with lots of bare spots. Greens were good and the only good thing about the course. There is no ranger pace of play slow. We waited on every hole and took 5.5 hours for the round. Don’t get fooled by the ClubLink reference as it’s not. We won’t be back!
Pricing
Regular on line pricing was lower than Hot Deals pricing. The same was true for the sister course Oaks which I played earlier in the week.
Course is priced right.
Not the greatest course but its a great value. If your looking for a good course to play without spending over 100 a round you will be happy with this course. Greens are not that challenging. But the course layout is nice
Staff very nice and helpful. I would play there again.
.
Great day
Played this course many times, had a great day. Course is in very good condition, greens are fast and run true.
