cypress course
great layout of the course.. greens were good fairways, tee boxes, and bunkers were not tended too.( need watering) Course is very dry and most bunkers have zero rakes . $11 for a small bucket of practice balls? Greens fees are very reasonable but you get what you paid for
Fast Pace of Play
Granted we were the 2nd group out but we got around in 3HOURS! Greens were in great condition. Tees were ok. Fairways seem like they are still dormant. I will say I do not like the sand in the traps, but thaere’s a simple solution to fix that…stay out of them.
Good value
An average review, but the course is really a championship layout(cypress), but the overall condition is about 3-4 star. But I only paid a 3-4 star price. Greens were good, actually better on the back. Played in mid afternoon with my wife and really enjoyed the course. Good value and great layout with good service.
Good Course I hope they reopen shower
Enjoyed good course I drove a long way would have been nice to shower after round. Staff told me showers closed since COVID. Not much COVID now I hope they can reopen showers.
Director of Corporate Social Responsibility
Very crowded course, we waited at every shot. We left after 14 holes. Course has seen a lot of play and showed some wear and tear.
I think the experience would benefit from an on-course refreshment cart and possibly make money.
Didn’t Finish
Had a 1 p05 tee time. They basically don’t have enough golf carts so 6to 8 groups wait at the starters shack to get a cart or not by your assigned tee time. They do fill every group. Tee times are spaced every 7 minutes. They got us to the tee box within 5 minutes of our assigned time. Where we waited on the group in front of us for 5 minutes the proceeded to wait on every shot for the next 5 hours at which we decided to call it a day and skip the last two holes. The course is such that you can only see the group directly in front of you so you imagine that the group is extremely slow. You can’t bail out after 9 as the 9th hole is away from the club house. Over all we had a pretty miserable day. There are no ranger to tell you about the pace of play.
Slooow play
This course was not in good shape Slow play from hole 1 Not worth the money
Ok Greens, poor fairways, rocks in sand traps
I have played here before, the greens are better than in the past, so have some bad spots. The fairways are so thin, lots of dirt, very hard to hit fairway woods and irons, not enjoyable for me at all. Sand traps have stones and rocks in them from I assume they bought their sand from a quarry. I liked playing The Palms course much better.
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY FOR A $80 round that lasts 5 hours
Horrific pace of play issue.first non of the distances are accurate on the scorecard. Playing from green was “6500 yards” lol huge joke more like 6100 if that. Then we waited on every hole because they decided to put a random twosome in between two foursomes that held everyone up up. Then the ranger tried to tell our group to just play the front 9 again. Horrific experience will never be back or waste my money on this dump of a course.
Needs a massive clean up
Fairways need to be replaced / updated with new grass and properly maintained. It’s all crab grass in fairways. The concrete cart paths need to be replaced. All trees need massive trimming. Finally the tee boxes need to be flattened back to the original construction and properly maintained to keep them flat. Take a look at how mgt cleaned up pompano beach golf course with these simple fixes. Hiring non professionals and using unsupervised people with a truck and saw to maintain the course is really bad. Bring it back.
Did not finish
We had two men added to our twosome. Both of them were GOOD golfers and younger than us. They were considerate but the contrast of skill levels made pace of play difficult for both twosomes. Finally after the 14th hole my wife and I headed in for the day. The two men were both nice and considerate. It just didn't work. The starter/cart man was a ray of sunshine. He was cheerful and helpful. A great employee.
Palm-Aire Cypress
It was OK… $10 less than Bonaventure in Weston… But a much weaker golf course… The whole course needs fertilization.. I cut my face open on whole number three under a palm tree 50 feet off the fairway because the area is not cleaned up which ended my round… I returned the next day and completed a round
