Pace of Play
The positives are : staff friendliness and the course layout .
Umfortunately Clublink likes to pack in the players with 8 minute tee times and no Ranger ever.
On most holes there was a 4 some waiting at the tee when our 4 some arrived . On several tees we had 3 4 somes at the tee . The round took 4:55 .
That will be my one and only game here this year.
It is unfortunate as this course was so much better before Clublink became involved .
Someone should spend some time removing all of the rocks in the sandtraps ; that would be a step in the right direction .
Palm Aire
I'm a Michigan resident and have the opportunity to visit family and play when able. I've found the Palm Aire complex to be accommodating to a single golfer, reasonably priced, and as nice as a championship course I played in the area. Maybe I'm a little jaded. I made my first hole in one on the cypress course! I plan on bringing my daughter to join me playing The Cypress on my next visit.
Nice Course...BUT
1st time playing Cypress....I really liked the course layout and they had some great holes, but the conditions were not good.. The greens hadn't been cut in at least 2 days, the cups hadn't been changed in several days and there was a lot of disease/bare spots on all the greens.. The sand traps had a lot of coral/sea shells in them.and some of the par 3 tee boxes were beat up. Not sure I'd come back unless I read some better reviews.
First time player
Course layout good, condition ok, many greens need work.
Cypress
Fairways were in very good conditions but the tee boxes and greens were not.
Tee boxes were uneven at best and chewed up.
Greens were extremely slow with a great deal of some type of fungus with a great many bad spots
Tee boxes need to made level and cut to a correct height with much needed seeding or sod
I have played this course several times. Course is good shape, pace of play was a little slow. The rough needs major work it is high and compromised of several types of grass/weeds very difficult to find your ball even if just off the fairway. A few greens need some TLC. A good value for the price.
Good Summer roynd
playing on a Monday the course is wide open. The fairway and the greens are in relatively good shape. The tea boxes are a little thick. The rough is very rough. Very sparse lots of dirt and weeds. But overall considering what you pay and condition this course has been in the past. It’s actually pretty good shape right now. It’s relative
Good course
We got rained on but experience prior to raining was good. They offered a raincheck but we were on vacation and didn’t have time to return.
