Panther Lake at Orange County National

This is a nice course but for the money we spent there a lot better courses in Orlando

Found a hot deal for like $40-$45 bucks which you can’t beat for this place. The greens just had a little work, so they were a little grown out. The chipping area was also closed. There was a college tournament coming up so totally understandable. Everything else was awesome! Staff was super cool, rest of course was amazing. Especially for the price in Orlando, that course, gps carts hard to beat. Staff even had to retreat driver head that broke off my friends shaft on the range haha! And baby gator on one of the tee boxes! I took a mulligan.

Place is in great shape. Greens have recovered from maintenance. Rolled nice and were fairly quick. Fairways and even the rough was in good shape. Cart girl was super nice and made it around to us at least 3 times. Florida resident rate at $71 was well worth it. GPS was accurate. We had a great time . I’ve played panther 5 times and today was my best here (77)

Played here several times in the late 2000’s and it was fabulous. Played here again in 2016 and it was really good. Today it was borderline awful. Tee boxes were burnt grass, fairways appeared last cut a week ago. Greens were verticut and sandy, with several areas of foreign grass growing. Wouldn’t play here again unless it was less than $40. Such a shame because it’s one of the better layouts in the Orlando area. Not to mention the pro shop attendant wasn’t very friendly. Starter however was super cool. Great guy

Course conditions were okay. The worst I’ve seen them here. Greens were patchy and did not look as good as before.

Your course maintenance team needs to be commended for a job well done. 👏

I don’t know what happened to the greens, but it wasn’t grass

I was a bit surprised with all the patches of weeds in the green given that this is OCN. I hadn't played here since maybe Sept and these weeds were definitely unexpected. Hopefully they get it turned around. The rest of the course is in pretty good shape but the greens are where it needs to be the best shape. Surprisingly Stoneybrook West which just reopened last year has better greens.

A lot of brown beginning to appear throughout. Tees, bare spots- all appearing in last few weeks. Greens are uneven and all are experiencing some type of weed/fungus growth. On top of it, the person checking me on at the desk was rude, bordering on nasty. What happened with this place?

A must play in the Orlando area. Both amazing tracks, got 36 holes in on the day. Crooked cat slightly better conditions then panther. Replay rates available at pro shop. Delicious turkey club sandwich. Can’t wait to play again when I’m in the Orlando area.
