Two 18-hole courses rest on the 900-acre retreat that is all about golf -- not condos or summer homes. Panther Lakes is the flashier of the two designs at Orange County National, most say, because no two holes are the same. The playing surfaces are lush and the topography is so varied in some areas, some have a hard time believing they're in Florida. The architect made good use of the rolling meadows, grasslands, wetlands and lakes. Visually rich elements saturate the 7,295-yard design.

Course is in pristine condition. OCN has a terrific practice area to warm up prior to the round. Panther Lake is very challenging, be sure to play the correct set of tees as the course plays longer than the card.

All Around Awful

What can I say? You better be a camel or bring your own water. The cart girl finally showed up at the 17th hole and the water fountains were turned off on the course. The starter was terribly rude. A Flinstone car is faster than their carts. The fairways were dry. Weeds at the tee boxes. There was no Marshall for pace of play and we had a group of seven or eight golfers in front of us. One of the worst courses I have been to in Florida. Only positive thing I can say is the greens were decent. Golfed at Shingle Creek earlier in the morning and it was pristine, cheaper and their steak was one of the best I have ever had. I do not recommend Panther Lake at all.

OC National, Panther Lake, is one of the best golf courses in the Orlando area.

It was a great day for golf. The sun was shining, with just a slight wind. The course was in excellent condition. I was paired up with two very friendly and skilled golfers. The young man hit his drives 300 yards, and had a great game. The young lady that joined us had her dad and swing coach along for the day. She was preparing for a junior tournament qualifier. She consistently hit the greens in regulation, and scored very well. Panther lake is always one of my very favorite stops for golf, always a good time, and I will definitely be back.

OCN - Panther Lake

Challenging course that requires you to be careful with your shot selections. The course is well maintained and greens are fast with some undulation. Employees at OCN are great to work with and welcoming to all guests. All in, playing Panther Lake is a tough, yet fun experience. Will be returning in the near future!

Another Great Day at Orange County National

Overall, from the time you pull up to drop off your clubs until the time you leave, the people you deal with are excellent. The staff really are the best. Played Panther Lake, always my favorite of the 2. Was a little surprised with the overall condition of the course. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but not as good as the multiple other times I've played over the last couple of years. Got a great non resident rate and would not hesitate about playing again.

The lady in pro shop was able to get management to buy a drink on the house high. five to the lady who was in the pro shop at about 4:45PM.

Nice course, very slow pace of play.

Very nice place, beautiful layout and very good challenge.

I got a very good HOT DEAL on Golf Now so it has great, but I will not pay the $100 + they charge to play.

Conditions are just ok for a premium course, teeoffs are bad and sandy greens, fairways are good but the rough is so so. For the $$$ they charge there is no GPS on carts and range balls not included !!!

And the worst part was pace of play 4h40 to play 18 holes. ( my tee time was at 11h06)

Golf courses must do something about the pace of play.

A gruff greeting at the bag drop. Not much better in the pro shop.

Hoping to get a breakfast before we played. Were told the only option was a microwavable sausage sandwich. They had no coffee "because the new girl screwed up".

Two hours and 45 minutes to play the front nine and not a course ranger to be found.

I can't imagine a place being less customer focused.

This course is a fun, challenging and blast to play. The staff is friendly and the layout is cool. Everything was good except for the pace of play. The worst part is they talked about the people that slowed everything up but made no attempt to make it better. If your behind you move people along as simple as that. Skip holes whatever you have to do to keep pace of play for the 100 other golfers to have a great experience. Thanks
