I really enjoyed the front nine. Nothing special, but still a group of decent holes. I did not care for the back nine. 10, 11, and 12 are parallel holes between tree stands. Pretty boring, as they are all too similar to each other. A couple of other holes are short par 4s over a mucky creek. Another hole had a mud quagmire on the edge of the fairway. It just seemed like a hodgepodge of holes that weren't very appealing. Overall, not a bad course, but nothing to write home about. Certainly worth the $30 though.

First time playing here, and I found this course to be fairly interesting. The course could use some work though, as the fairways were patchy, and the greens a bit bumpy. All in all though its not a bad place, particularly if you can get a deal on Golf Now.

This course has a good layout and potential. Unfortunately, the greens are terrible. Very slow, several bald spots, and inconsistent.

This course is in rough condition. The fairways are rough and the greens are very rough. Not at all what the game of gold is about. Go to Red Hawk or The Vineyard for your value!

The Fairways are in terrible condition and should really be replanted. There are multiple varieties of grass none growing consistently.

The Greens are marginal needing care and some reseeding.

I would not recommend this course unless someone wants a low cost experience and even then it's not really worth it.

Pace of play was good, until the last 4 holes then it backed up.

Good variety of challeging holes, some course maintenance could be done ...but then it would probably cost more also.

Was very timely, starter, pro shop etc.
Enjoyed playing there, nice wide fairways. Some fairways were just seeded, so will be real nice soon.,

Had a great day out on quite a testing course for my standard of golf.
The course was in pretty good condition but the green could use some work.
All the staff were pleasant and friendly .All in all a good time was had by all.

I like playing this course because it's usually in good shape and the price is right.

I've played CC a couple of times a month recently and have always liked the course layout, pace of play and conditions. However, this week the greens were in very poor shape...very patchy and bumpy. Made putting a real challenge. Hopefully this is temporary.

Castle Creek is picturesque with the creek coming into play on many holes.
But the fairways are pretty patchy, and the greens are ragged and bumpy.

greens were in poor condition, areas of some greans had no grass. Fairways were thin, Just not a good value. Now I will say that holes 13 on in are fun to play.

Playing there 2-3 times a month for the last couple months. I like the layout and it's a good deal. Of course some maintenance issues but not too bad. Staff/marshals do a nice job

Pretty good layout and challenging. The fairways were thin and greens only fair. But, it was a good deal at $40.00.

Holes 10- 12 are tough. Get thru them in even par and you are on your way to a nice round.

We played this course at the end of September, and the weather and course were at their best! The holes had tons of variety and differing challenges, and missed shots were penalised. Overall, the course was well maintained and had enough interesting holes to keep us thinking! The price was excellent considering the North San Diego area location, and the starter and pro-shop staff were very helpful. (I thought the starter was going to come with us to show us around the course!) A really enjoyable course with enough tee choices to permit players of all levels to enjoy it! The only "negative" was a lost golf club which was picked up by following players and not returned, so beware of this! In summary, though, it's a hidden gem in an area of well known courses, so be sure and check it out if you're in the area!
