California Oaks Golf Course

Great course! Greens are in great shape. A couple were a little over watered and spongy. Love the layout and strategic composition of the fairways. I haven’t hit the course since 2014 and great job extending some of the tee boxes, it made it more challenging and fun. We will see you again more regularly.

this course is great for those of you who like to wait more than you like to golf... course always only has one staff member charging people in the pro shop and cleaning the carts. the 1:30 tee time didnt tee off until 1:58 causing 5 groups to be in a line on the first tee box.

This course was challenging at every hole. Went out with my family. The clubhouse staff were great. One of them even bought my son some Spider-Man golf balls with his own money. Wish I knew his name but very cool gesture! Thanks for a great day!

This is far from the nicest course you will play, but considering the cost and their friendly personnel, I consider it one of my go-to’s. It has no driving range, but some of the best courses in Pebble Beach don’t either. Their new management is doing a lot to improve the course condition, and it shows.

When I reserved my tee time it stated cart included. I tried to cancel my tee time with less than 24 hours notice and Golfnow would not allow me to cancel with less than 24 hours notice using the on-line cancellation process. When I called Golfnow to cancel the recording informed me that I could only cancel using the on-line modify/cancel option. When I called to speak to a customer service agent I was informed that the wait time was in excess of 3 hours.

I would like to say, I used to love coming to this golf course. I signed up for the California Oaks Golf club e-mails. I got a e-mail that said free sleeve of balls and 29.00 per player and Happy Presidents day play. I tried to call, nobody answers the phone, so I booked on line which was 4 dollars per player thinking, they will just change it when I get there. The lady at the front desk told me "no, no can change, you book on line". "you have to push button" there was no "button" on the phone, I played my round, and left, it may be the last time I play there. Some folks that don't care about golf or maintaining a golf course bought this place and they are driving it into the dirt. They shut down the restaurant, the door is falling of there wedding gazebo, and the course is in really bad shape, I fell bad for the people who live in the nice gated retirement community.

I played golf twice a week, OMG this golf course is terrible maintenance

Played on a Friday afternoon. Played fast.

Only issue is hole 12 should be closed. Fairway is completely washed out. Greens are slow, but in good shape. A few of the T boxes are not in a great shape. For the cost you can find better places to play

Great course for leisure play. Has a couple Par 5s which is nice. The course also has a warm up net so you don't have to buy range balls to warm up which is a nice addition.

This golf course could be in much better shape if they had the funds. The tee boxes were okay with a few weed patches here and there. The fairways were in terrible shape - dry patches, weed patches, some grass, etc. The greens were in decent shape after being punched a few weeks earlier which i have no problem with. Was it worth the $20 to play, sure, but if they took care of this golf course, I would have gladly paid more. All in all, I probably won't play here again. I do hope they settle the lawsuit and fix this golf course. It has a lot of potential.

Been playing here for 20 years. I quit about 5-6 years ago when new owners bought the course and really screwed everything up.

The positives: narrow fairways so you have to use every club in your bag. That's about it.

Negatives: for the cost, there are 7 other courses within 10 miles that are so much better, they lengthened some holes to make it look like a longer course but those holes are now just silly. Rude customer service, barely any maintenance, so any eye sores it's ridiculous.

I went and tried it last Sunday to see if it got any better, it's the worst I've seen. Stay away!!

Payed for tee time. Silly they don't provide a cart. Walking was fine but they are constantly pushing u. How fast can u walk with ur gear in tout. Don't go there will be disappointed .

My buddy and I play here every Wednesday and usually first off. We can play a round in just under 3 hours. The course is not a well manicured golf course but we like it. This is a great course to work on your short game as many of the holes from the Tips are not too wide and makes you focus on shaping your golf shot.
