Interesting course

I should have read the small print. The $15 green fee was for walking. Had to pay an additional $15 for the cart. The course is walkable but did not seem to be any pull carts for rent and we did not have our own carts. The course is short, 5200 yds from the tips. But there is trouble on most holes and some are narrow. You are required to make some shots to:get around successfully. The greens were slow. But rolled true. I would probably play again.

Cal Oaks Murrieta

I really like course layout, not real long but narrow with a lot of challenges. The course is in rough shape, the owner hasn’t put any money into it.

The greens were in pretty good shape, but the fairways and tee boxes were for the most part horrific. Most tee boxes were like standing on the bottom of an egg carton and the many of the fairways were hard pan and bumpy. Not worth the 'hot deal' money.

Good Course

All of the holes play short. Good condition Course. Good place to work on your game. Not a driver friendly course.

Course layout was my top 3

Went with my brother in law a few weeks back . We liked it so much we invited some family members to play with us a week later with us . Witch are avid players and have some time playing maybe longer then us . All I keeped hearing through the day was “so far I like “ meaning they like the course . I highly recommend this course . It’s a good bang for the buck . The only thing I may change is there’s no “lady” coming around to buy “refreshments” . Other then that . The staff is helpful and the course It’s with in my top 5 because there greens are NICE! . I’m not a really good player . Considering I’m starting off I have only been playing for about a year . But with in the year I have been playing in quite a few courses . With in my area . 1 tournament and a few high class curses ($70 +) per round ... and this course is up there . I highly recommend it !!!

Walked

Great weather... great company... nice course...

This is a nice, short-playing course, with a challenging layout and outstanding greens. The only negative I can address is the restaurant/refreshment business that is closed up tight by 2 pm. If you are looking for a cold refreshment at the turn, you better bring your own because if you have teed off after 12 noon, chances are the place will already have closed up for the day.

Run Down

I’m sure, that at one time, this course was pristine. Not now. The Gophers have had their way. Uneven teeing grounds. Unmown rough. Just overall the course is in rough shape. The greens are the best part. They are soft and have been taken care of. I will not return as there are too many choices that are in better shape.

Cal Oaks

Decent course, narrow fairways, so it makes it a little bit of a challenge. Staff is great with one exception. I'm glad it's close to my home and usually can get on at anytime.

Paid for a round on Golf Now for this course. Drove from San Diego

Entered run down clubhouse asked for restrooms and they Said out the door past stairs. I looked and went past the door to the cart barn, turned around and finally found restrooms inside the cart area. Not clean. Looked at the poor conditions of golf course, narrow fairways, etc. And said I'm not wasting my time playing this course and by the looks of nobody else playing they decided the same thing. I forfeited my $23 green fee and spent the afternoon enjoying the beach. Don't bother

Doesn't look like they are planning a big future there and won't recommend the course to anyone

Maybe I am being harsh, but I have played on hundreds of golf courses but this one is down near the bottom

Good luck

Fred

Too Expensive

The fairways are narrow and short. Homes are right on the edge of most of the fairways which gives no room for error. This course also seems way too overpriced for what it is. There are much better courses in the area charging the same or even less. I might play here again if the price was right.

Dreadful dog track

Course has super narrow fairways which I don't mind. The problem is the rough. If you kiss the 20 yard fairways you lose your ball in the rough. Rough is impossible to hit out of. Greens were like sponges. It's barely 5000 yards and looks terrible. The layout isn't that great and it shows the staff Durant do anything to the course. The bunkers were concrete.

Great round of golf, just not sure why you have to pay 15 dollars per person for a single golf cart. At that rate why now just each get a cart for 15 dollars each, rather than have to pay 30 dollars to ride together. The cart cost more than the round

Decent course, no range, narrow fairways

Overall a good course. Has no range but has a hitting net to warm up with. Bought tee time on Golf Now which doesn't include a cart apparently (I didn't notice that when purchased) so we had to spend more money on renting a cart. It's a semi short course so we were able to finish the round in just over 2 hours.

Eh

Won't come back here again. Overcharged. Booked on golfnow (cart excluded) called and they stated $15extra for 1 cart for 2 golfers. Got there and was charged $30 for two people in one cart. Saw another review about them charging more once you get there. They had some par 4s that should have been par 3s. The water jug (only one I saw) 10th hole was empty on a really hot day.
