General Old Golf Course

Wonderful course to play! Cool layout with challenging drives off tee. Fairways and greens above normal for municipal course. Well done!

I have played here multiple times. The fairways and greens are in great condition considering the cost to play. By far a great value, and will be back again.

I have been playing this course for the past 15 years, over the past few weeks the pace of play has gotten bad.. This course needs a Marshall

The most enjoyable part was the group I was with. The pace of play was extremely slow for the first nine holes because we were the first group to follow a junior tournament. Thereafter, the pace of play picked up quite considerably. The course layout has always been very attractive to me and quite challenging for my level of play. The staff was friendly and the hot deal price was quite attractive. The greens rolled pretty well. Overall, it was a pleasant afternoon.

Layout is nicely rolling, some minor elevation changes. Almost all holes have some sort of dogleg. Greens were really good, as were fairways and tees. A bit scruffy after the primary rough but you shouldn't be there. Also a lot of trees frame the holes to add to the challenge. Condition of sand bunkers also very good. Would be happy to play here again.

Although aerated , greens rolled somewhat true. Pace of play was great as I played with my wife. It was an enjoyable experience !

Although the greens were punched the previous Tuesday the green rolled surprising true. The course was in great shape and played a little long because of the direction of the wind. Definitely a great price to play this course.

The course is very challenging from the tips. For a municipal, it's in very good shape. Greens are fast and true. Plenty of risk-reward holes to play it safe or go for it. Friendly pro shop and good food service as well as a bar. For under $50 it's a real value.

The greens were freshly punched, if I had known they were punched I would not have booked this tee time. Golfnow are the golf course should let you know about punched greens when you make the tee time. When I walked on the putting greens, I felt misled!!!! In the future please let your customers know about the condition of the course.

We had a 1055 tee time. Got there early and got on right away.

The staff have done a tremendous amount of work to get the course in its curgent condition. The driving range is all graas, an improvement from my first visit. Fairways great shape. The greens were great and fast

The fairways are in fair cond, but the greens are really good. Noticed piles of sand, hope they are for the bunkers! Finished in 4 hours, on a Sun afternoon.

Had a GolfNow tee time and the counterman didn't seem too happy with me, made us wait 25 min.s even though there was no one else on the first tee.

Glad to hear the course will remain open and not become more urban sprawl.

I had a much better experience at General Old than the previous couple times. The pace of play on the front nine was good. Was able to play at a good pace, not being pushed from behind and wasn't pushing the play in front of us. Once we got to the back nine the pace was slowed and we caught the group in front of us. The group in front of them seemed to be goofing around. I was pleasantly surprised that a Marshall came out and talked to that group and the pace picked up again. The course looked good from all the recent rain. Overall had a very fun and

relaxing round.

It was great day for golf and what a great place to play. The staff was polite, friendly and professional. The course was in good shape a little thin in the fairways but the greens were awesome. Totally enjoyed the rolling landscape and the challenges that it presented. Honestly a great golfing experience...

Good course overall... some of the fairways were torn up but the greens and fringe were in good shape and the layout was fun to play

With so many public courses looking bad it was nice to play one that had grass in the fairways, and even some fringe cut around the greens. Have played here about once a year the last few and course has never played better. Playing white tees course is very long in the wind, and three of the par three's are 6 iron or better for my 15 handicap game. Fun to play again, for the shorter hitter it is hard to beat your handicap.
