General Old Golf Course

General Olds is a golf course that provides great value. The course is kept in great condition, and the rates are affordable. It has a nice practice area where you can hit the range, or work on your short game. The putting green is also nice and well manicured.

The course plays long. With really tough par 3s that demand a long and accurate shot. Par 5s are challenging that will demand you to shape the ball around doglegs.

All in all a great course, and they offer plenty of deals.

Great course for the water conditions greens are green traps have sand easy hole locations honestly not that challenging. Wide fairways you shouldn't be losing balls here great for beginners or guys just trying to improve their game. I will definitely play this course again. A little entertainment too as the base had some jets in the air all around a great course

Plays better than it looks ....... a little untidy around the edges and not so pleasing to the eye but a decent course to play, long (6800 yards +) but relatively forgiving and u wont lose any balls. Excellent condition greens, excellent condition tee boxes and fairways play better than they appear. Paid $33 on a holiday so not bad but much cheaper in the week and i would play again. Not overly challenging but interesting lay out and long par 3's off the back tees are a challenge. Has a nostalgic old school feel about the place ........ worth a golf now outing for sure.

I arrived early and the stater forgot us !!! Really !! We wanted to get out there on time. Instead, I had to go to the club house to find out what the problem was in passing us up ! I believe got a mild case of heat stroke. My buddy threw up on the tenth hole ! The greens were sneaky fast. Rough was tame. Sand traps were consistent. I would go back but not at the top of my list.

I never played this course prior to 7 before, I like the fast play.

this course is fun to play,and there is nothing fancy about it.my buddy and i played in about 4 hrs.the group in front of us let us play through after the first 9. that was really nice.fairways were generous enough and nice and green.greens were good, although some were pretty wet. but at least they were very playable. good value for the money. would definitely go back.

Considering the drought and water restrictions riverside county is in , General olds greens are super nice . Fairways are nice n green , and course is over all looking good . Wish some golfers would have a little more respect for the place and take care of it like some of us do, from fixing divots on greens and tee boxes to just plain picking up after yourself . Regardless ... Course is in great shape . Just need to speed up pace of play a bit more .

This course is total different that I played last time. It is good.

I practice at this facility more than I play it. It has a new clubhouse and it seems since then the course conditions seem to have improved as well. Pace of play is pretty quick unless you get stuck behind the HS matches in the afternoon. Def one of the better courses in the riverside/moval area. Driving range is grass, no mats! They could def improve it by simply making 2 or 3 tiers and leveling that area. Needs actual sand in the bunkers! Great for practice rounds.

Overall nice spot to play. The Greens are fast and larger than other courses I've played. The fairway is a bit narrow so if you don't hit straight your next shot is from either side that is laced with trees. Very challenging . Staff is very friendly.

Course was in great condition. Teed off around 11:00 and finished in under 4 hours. Very little, if any, waiting. Great value for the money.

This is certainly not a high-end course compared to many others in Riverside County, but it was in significantly better shape than it has been over the past few years. The tee boxes and the greens were in really good condition, and the fairways were respectable. Even the pace of play was good. There was no one in front of us the whole round. For about $24 on Memorial Day, it was a solid value. We did not use the range, which is mostly dirt and very little grass.

The course was good and well kept. I've played here several times. Unfortunately there was a single and two pairs that started right after my group of three. So we felt pressure to play faster also the marshal was over us like a hawk which made some unneeded conversation especially since we let the single pass early on. Plus we were on schedule since we finished 18 holes in under 4 hours.

Play this course now before it gets too warm and it starts drying out.

Great course for any skill level. Close to my home, offers regular discounted rates including military rates.

Okay course. The greens played a very definite role on each hole. It was apparent that the greens had been aerated withi the past 2-3 weeks, so they were uneven and bumpy. There were several putts that were affected by the poor quality of the greens.

Nice layout forgiving fairways bunkers okay greens very good paced a little slow overall okay.
