Tourist course typifies socal
Course always seems to be packed. Construction on the former Friars 9 continues to affect 3 holes. Fairways have a few bare spots, greens in very good shape.

Great course, and course conditions were pretty good. The only complaint would be slow play in front of us and the group behind us was on top of us the entire time. Other than that, highly recommend it for the price and the difficulty of play.

patchy everywhere
fairways were very patchy, a lot of blocked off areas due to construction. Over all quality of the course was pretty poor.. would not go back

Decent option if you find yourself downtown
So I didn't feel like rolling up to Carlsbad or Oceanside and decided to play Riverwalk for the first time. Overall decent experience and good value for money. Pace of play was pretty slow but...it was a Sunday and rainy to boot. Would I play again? Were I staying in the area I'd say yes. Certainly not the visual equal of an Aviara or Arrowood but also significantly less expensive....
