Island Pointe Golf Club

This course is truly amazing, from the friendliness of the staff to the course layout and beauty, Currently residing in Cincinnati and I will 100% stop in again to play it. Snack shop worker on hole 9 was friendly and the gentleman at the clubhouse went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time.

The fairways were very bare. The greens were beautiful but so slow you can't get the ball to the hole. Extremely slow.

This was an amazing course to play on! Even though the weather was a little rainy at first, the course setup was great and it is such a great price to play 18. The staff is very friendly and they made sure we were taken care of. I definitely plan on going back in a couple weeks!

Well worth the green fee. Challenging layout thst has been given some TLC this off season. Smaller greens require solid iron play. Great vistas of the river with multiple island greens. Very helpful and friendly staff.😃👍🏻👍🏻

Golf Now somehow took my money but the golf course never got my reservation so we had to pay twice to play (at a higher rate). Thankful to the staff for working hard to get us out to play. They also tried to work it out with GN but with no luck….even after I presented my reservation number and showed them my email receipt..

The golf course was HARD, but fair. The all carry (175 yard) over water par 3’s were so fun to play. A few of the par 5’s were long, but again, fair. Driving accuracy is at a premium. It was wet and cold so my son and I hit a lot of driver - 5 irons on the par 4’s. If we had to do it over again we would have played from the white tees and not the players tees.

Greens were winter slow maybe 9- 9.5 on the stempmeter. The ball rolled smooth, but slow. I’d love to play them at a 11 or 12. O junk or dead spots on the greens and a few were quite large.

Fairways were really good and well defunded even for winter golf. No complaints about them except we played under cart path only and players are not going to fill tier divots under those conditions so there were nice big chucks taken out of the fairways that were not filled.

The bunkers were in good shape, but just wet. Nicely defined and taken care of.

Two issues -

- there was “one” on course restroom (Porta potty) between 9 & 10. I’m a 61 year old man and one port-a potty did not cut it so I did a little tree watering at no cost to the golf course.

- no place to by refreshments or snacks at the turn. The turn is a long way away from the club house.

We will play it again at our next visit to Tennessee.

Some holes are quite challenging. But overall the beauty, and layout of the course was quite enjoyable

If you’re in the area you have to play this course. Gorgeous course. It’s difficult but manageable if you keep the ball straight. Lots of deep rough, water and deep bunkers. I’ve played my best and my worst round there. Both were enjoyable. Dan was super friendly and accommodating. I couldn’t have felt more welcomed. Greens were in killllller shape for winter golf here. Overall a great experience.

If you’ve never played this course you need to. Outstanding scenery, challenging layout, overall in great shape, it did rain recently. In reality the only thing you can complain about is the overpriced course snack/food truck at hole 9.

After we payed for 18 holes, the course told us on the first tee that we only had until 4:30 to cross the bridge and finish our round. Meanwhile our tee time was at 12:50 and they didn’t inform us of this until after the round. They refused to speed up the pace of play forcing the round to take 5 hours and they had workers driving around harassing us about bringing the carts in on time, which wouldn’t even allow us to finish all 18 holes we payed for. Horrible place with crappy conditions and horrible understanding of customer service. Everybody in our 4some got a hot dog at the turn and the total bill was 51 dollars. A large range bucket is the size of a small and is 13 dollars. A complete waste of a day and ruined family time. If this was the last course on earth, I would hang up my golf shoes and be happy with the end of my playing career.
