About
Pala Mesa Golf Resort is situated between Temecula wine country and the beautiful countryside of San Diego's North County. The course was carefully carved from the surrounding hillsides, providing rolling fairways and undulating greens throughout the layout. Towering oaks, sycamores, and elms blanket the course's landscape, providing the perfect complement to the stunning mountain views. The fairways are tight and lined with trees, demanding a fair amount of accuracy. The greens also play fairly quick. The golf course does provide a challenging round but it is seemingly much tougher than it actually is. Beginners should still feel comfortable taking on the course. The versatile layout in combination with the consistently good conditions have earned Pala Mesa acclaim as one of the best golf courses in San Diego County.

Fairways were in good shape. Greens and tee boxes could use some work. Course was average and a little over priced.

Course is a challenge
The course is a really fun challenge, and in better shape than the Spring. but the pace of play is slow and too many golfers trying to play from the black tips who shouldn’t be make the pace worse.

This course was great
This course was great. Larry the Marshall was ready for us at the early tee time and gave us a quick rundown of the course. The course was very challenging but open enough fairways to keep it fun for beginners. I will be coming back

Fun Round but had to wait.
Hole 1-4 we played pretty fast. No one in front of us. Caught up to twosome on hole 5 they had threesome in front of them. Waited on every hole for remainder of the round.
Greens were okay. Some fairways were pretty desolate.

On my list of favorite courses
My first time playing here. The course isn't perfect, but I was happy with course conditions. Fairway were green, no dead spots. Very few under repair area. Pace of play was good. I will play again. On my list of favorite courses for tee times.

Meh
The good news:
Friendly people and the GPS works well, with free audio if that’s your thing.
The bad news:
The course is in mediocre (at best) shape
The cart USB’s are all broken
The greens are VERY patchy.
It wasn’t my bag. Again, at least the staff is nice.

Other than almost smoking my playing partner with one of my shots and playing horrible, the course was in great shape!!!

Improved fariways
Fariways much improved looks like course is getting additional water all around.
Course sill needs to import sand from any local beach, otherwise rakes are available to smooth out the hard muddy sand/dirt..

Not a bad course to play.
First time playing here. Overall it was a good experience. Pace of play was extremely fast. 3 person and we finished less than 4 hrs. The group in front of us was playing pretty fast and the group behind us was moving 1-2 strokes behind us. Some fairways and green area Course need some work on the front 9. A lot of area was damaged and being repair. Some sand traps are soft and some are not. But overall good experience!

Slow pace
Played front in 1.5 hrs and then bam almost 2hr 45 min on back. Marshall needed. Greens in good shape, some rough spots in fairways.
