Very bad green
I am a monthly member here. I had never seen the green as bad as now. 2/18 holes has grass alive, others were burned to bare ground. There were no discount for bad green. Don't play here until November 2020 because it will take a long time to regrow the grass on the greens. The fairways are in good shape. I will cancel my membership for sure.
The course had a great layout.
All the greens were irrated, so all 18 greens were filled with sand. Couldn't really put when its a thinned out bunker. Other than that, we enjoyed the course, would like to play it again when the greens are all nice and done.
Worst Greens in Orange County
I’ve played dozens of courses in OC from Willowick to Big Canyon and these are hands down the worst greens I’ve seen. This used to be a great course in excellent condition so I’m not sure what happened? There are large patches of dirt on most greens and bare spots from ball marks from golfers who lack the proper etiquette to fix.
Not worth the money
This could be a much better course but the conditions are absolutely terrible. The greens are in the worst condition I have ever seen at any course. For the amount of money you pay, you’d expect the course to be much better kept. There are $40 courses with nicer greens. Disappointing. I like the layout and the pace of play was good but the value is nowhere close there.
Good Time
Nice course , had a good time . Had more of issue with members thinking they could just cut in front of line because they walked up at their tee time -no need for that we're all dealing with same Covid BS , show up early , check in , veg out til tee time in your car
Terrible greens
The greens are absolutely terrible. Hard as a rock with patches and ball marks everywhere. Need to be fixed ASAP. Truly unacceptable
A Gem
Played for the first time. A very nice layout - not tricked out but not boring. The greens were quite beat up but it still rolled well. I don’t think it’s worth $100-$145 per round but I liked the course so much I joined their $43 monthly membership which lowers the green fee to $59 during the weekdays. It looks like I’ll be playing there more often.
They have lost the greens
Unfortunate. Tustin is a great layout with challenging greens but they have completely lost the greens. 3-4 of them are just dead and the rest are like land mines with all the ball marks. Worst i have played on in years. Here’s the deal if Augusta has bad or dead greens it’s a goat track. I can tolerate dead or patchy fairways and rough, but greens have to be pure and these are almost unplayable
Poor green conditions and unfriendly
I been playing this course since it opened and have never seen the greens in as poor condition as yesterday. I will never understand why some people don’t fix their ball marks. Dead spots and patches of dirt were not uncommon on several greens.
I played with a twosome of younger players, one from Belgium who was very nice and his playing partner who was so unfriendly he didn’t say a word to my wife or me the entire round, not even an introduction on the first tee! He also only fixed his ball mark once and only after I told him I fixed his mark On the ninth green.
. At the conclusion of the round his friend was gracious while he just walked off the green without saying anything.
Beautiful course, good pace.
The course is beautiful and in good condition. Staff was friendly, especially the person on the course with beverage cart.
Would highly recommend this course, looking forward to playing again soon.
Rate doesn’t match value
I have played all over Southern California. Many different price points from Pelican Hill, Aviara, Stadium Course in season to Oak Valley, Soboba Springs, Oak Quarry and this Course was comparable to something I would pay around $45-$65 in good condition. Which it was not. For $140 per tee time I expect the greens to be rolling quick and the fairway to be well kept as well as the rest of the course. Wouldn’t play here again
