Cimarron's Boulder course is desert in location, but almost links in feel. It's hard to imagine even the most beer-cart-fueled hacker thinking they're in Scotland. Considering the bright sun, the striking San Jacinto Mountains and all. But …

"We've had many golfers tell us it reminds them of the British Open," head pro Jason Janke said. "For what we have in the desert, this is probably the closest course to that."

At 6,782 yards from the back tees, Cimarron challenges with length and accuracy. It's wise to keep your ball in the fairway here or you'll get some up-close desert views. Still with three par 4s over 450 yards and two par 5s over 560 yards, bombing away with your driver is anything but completely ignored.

Wide open good course. Weekdays are best for pace of play. Close to international Airport so convenient to play on day of arrival or departure. Under $100,/ round, great price for the area.

Pace of play and delayed starting tee times was a problem

We were going to fight darkness for our tee time so delaying out start time might have been a problem. The course needs to inforce which tees players play from. There were too many groups playing from the wrong set of tees and they were holding up play

SLOW PACE and RUDE Outside Service

Played this course twice in the last couple of weeks. Both times got off 15 minutes later than our tee time. 5 hour rounds both times. Had players with us and behind us quit because of the pace. NEVER saw a Marshall yesterday. When we finished I told the cart service employee about our round and he asked me if I wanted a tissue. Absolutely uncalled for. Won’t be back!

Great Golf Location

We had a great day on the course with good friends!

Our 4-Star Rating is not a 5 as there are no Restrooms on the course. Only Port-a-Potties on the course, but they were very clean. Excellent staff support and the course was in excellent condition. We will be back and possibly very soon!

Great staff

The staff at Cimarron were outstanding. The cart staff greeted us as we entered and got us set with instructions. The pro shop added to the friendly greeting. The starter, Brian, guided us through the course rules and sent us on our way with smiles. When we finished the same cart staff cleaned our clubs and closed the round with humor. Thank you Cimarron.
