Overall great experience.
Enjoyed the course layout. The starter was one of the best on any course I have ever played. Very welcoming, friendly, and relayed some course details. Had lunch beforehand at the course and the food and wait staff were very good even with a very busy crowd of people. Would recommend this course and I would welcome coming back. Greens were very good and quick while course conditions were also very good.
Try anywhere else
I played Cimarron on the recommendation someone I met playing a day before. As soon as I arrived I could tell the course was not like the others I’ve played in the desert over the past month. Not the same contrast of sand and lush fairways. Looked like any neighborhood course. Mostly straight holes with minor elevations.
We started at 2:00 PM and knew we would have to rush to get all 18 in. The starter said we should be able to go to 6:00 PM. To our surprise, the staff started pulling flag sticks at 5:15 and the sprinklers were turned on at 5:25 drenching the greens. It was still light and could easily finish our round but had to go in. Very disappointed… Wouldn’t have returned under the best experience but this sealed the deal!
Totally blown away!
I thoroughly enjoyed my round at Cimarron! The course was in tremendous shape and I fell in love with the layout.
Great day on the course
Boulder course is in very good condition. Tee boxes, fairways all well kept. Nice to have a ball that you can get under on a lush green grass on the fairway.
Greens are in great shape, good speed and lines are true.
Great day on a very good facility
Great views of the valley and mountains
Great course. My only concerns were that on a few holes the cart parking area was about 50 yd in front of the hole. Also there should be signage or a note on the score card to help find the restrooms that are behind the driving range.
Could not get a cart until 10 minutes before tee time. Had to walk to driving range.
Nice course and facility
First time here. Friendly staff, course is in good shape. Nice practice green and range. Pretty straightforward layout. Greens were a bit bumpy but rolled pretty true. Would be nice to see the drinks cart on each 9, or to have been given water at the start of the round. Nice outdoor and indoor area for drinks and food after round. I’d come back.
Frost delay
We were 45 minutes delayed. Not sure why as overnight temperatures never went below freezing.
I like this course
We play here a couple of times when we're in town. We're from MN so this is a good "tune-up" course when you haven't played for months. It's links style so there are no trees to contend with. There's water, sand and the wash to contend with but the fairways are generous. Greens are in wonderful shape. We usually play around 12:00 noon and you need to wait for carts to be returned from the morning rounds. Our tee time was 10 minutes delayed. The driving range is probably 200 yards from the clubhouse so you'll have probably have to grab a few clubs and walk to it. (hopefully, someone else in your group will stay behind when a cart becomes available). Our pace of play was pretty good at 4:25. Carts need to be returned by 5:15 so you will probably need a tee time before 1:00 pm if you plan on playing 18 holes.
Shortage of golf carts dekayed arrival @ driving range & fiirst tee. Very annoying. Otherwise all was wekl
Very breezy and cold
Very breezy and cold
Rating it it low as far as amenities should have free range balls
Fun course to play, lots of room off the tee. Most of the course was in good shape, but a little rough in areas around greens .Bunkers lacking in sand in several traps. Pace of play was good.Overall enjoyed your course and would recommend it to play. Thanks
