Blah!!!
The course was in decent condition, the greens were ugly with some sort of fungus but managed to roll ok. Just a very simple straight away course with no features to speak of. There was a crack head vagrant with his bike and a bunch of trash bags hanging out right outside the mens restroom, not a good look for a golf course. It would just be difficult to ever recommend this course to someone visiting the area with so many far better options within 5 miles of here. I will not play again and would not recommend to anyone that only has a limited time to play in the Palm Springs area.
Great value for a Saturday morning
It's June in the Desert, so the course conditions anywhere are going to be spotty. Tahquitz is in pretty good shape for the time of year, and the value for a Saturday morning tee time was great. I played solo on the front with a steady pace, but hit a jam at the turn and joined another single. Back nine was pretty slow, but there were a couple twosomes behind a foursome, so it's what happens. All together, a good round, and at $45 you can't go wrong.
Really good!
I played two days in a row at 11:30 am (Thursday and Friday) and the course was empty and in fantastic shape. Finished both rounds under 3 hours, the ice and cooler on the cart kept me cool, and the value for the money was off the charts: What more could you ask for?
A true legend
There is a love/hate relationship between the Legend course and myself. The tight front nine, located between classic Palm Springs homes, leaves me with many balls, slightly OB, in a yard or pool. But the back nine, opening up and slightly more forgiving, gives me a chance to lower my overall score.
Looking back at all of my rounds, at Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort Legend Course, I’m pretty much a 50 on the front anda 40 on the back.
Which I feel is pretty good.
Great Value for the money
First of all, let me state that I played a three hour round, which is remarkable. I was driving from San Diego, CA and arrived at the course an hour and half before my scheduled tee time, and the starter/marshall told me there was room for me to go right away. So I took the opportunity. He also asked me if I played the course before, which I said "no", and explained to me how to get through the first couple holes by giving me directions. There was no GPS on the carts, but I use a rangefinder anyway, so that was totally fine. And off I went to play the first hole... at the green on the second hole, I see a golf cart going my way, and it was the Marshall who drove out to give me a little booklet that explained all the holes with yardages from the tee and around the greens; So kind of him, and I was very grateful of the gesture. Three holes later after playing as a single, I caught up to.a couple playing in front of me who invited me to join, and enjoyed playing the rest of the round with them, in three hours total. Layout is fairly easy, and conditions are really good. Greens are true. Great Value for the money. Will play again.

Perfect day to play. Not much wind and few people on the course in the early afternoon.
The course is in good shape and had a good time.
