Unlike Desert Willow, Tahquitz Legend always delivers
Staff always friendly and welcome vs. Desert Willow snotty. Greens much better than Desert Willow too - faster and smoother. Played in 2 hr 45 minutes. Only saw a few singles. No fivesomes like Desert Willow. Worth the extra driving time. Driving range open; Desert Willow closed 11AM-2PM. Legend nice long, mostly straight, no hills, mid-long par 4s and 5s. Big Boy course. Don't play Legend if you can't get off the tees.
Rentals
Course was ok, but was a little shocked that the club rental was $40! They weren’t that nice.
Old school course
Good deal for the desert, simple layout. Only one on the corse,. Not the best course in the desert, but worth the price.
Paid for 18, wasn’t allowed to finish
I paid for a tee time around 5, but was told I had to have the cart back more than an hour before sunset. No warning was given when booking the time, and no one answered the phone when I tried calling literally 5 times to ask. I couldn’t hit the range with rental clubs because no one was there to check me in for 20 minutes.
Easier layout for a great price
First time golfing in awhile and in Palm Springs area. Great discount golf now price made getting a little golf in perfect.
Bottom like course is legit
Seeing as it is summer in Palm Springs, there weren’t than many golfers on the course aka awesome lol! Course is great, staff is great, would I play here again? Most definitely! Any questions???
Good course, unwelcoming staff
Enjoyed the course but staff did nothing to make you feel welcome. Desert Island close by a much better proposition
Nice holiday course
Enjoyed the round. Nice course albeit a bit tight in places. Good condition. Didn’t find the staff welcoming so didn’t use the facilities- unlike Desert Island the previous day where the staff were so welcoming we stayed for drinks and some food.
Blah!!!
The course was in decent condition, the greens were ugly with some sort of fungus but managed to roll ok. Just a very simple straight away course with no features to speak of. There was a crack head vagrant with his bike and a bunch of trash bags hanging out right outside the mens restroom, not a good look for a golf course. It would just be difficult to ever recommend this course to someone visiting the area with so many far better options within 5 miles of here. I will not play again and would not recommend to anyone that only has a limited time to play in the Palm Springs area.
Great value for a Saturday morning
It's June in the Desert, so the course conditions anywhere are going to be spotty. Tahquitz is in pretty good shape for the time of year, and the value for a Saturday morning tee time was great. I played solo on the front with a steady pace, but hit a jam at the turn and joined another single. Back nine was pretty slow, but there were a couple twosomes behind a foursome, so it's what happens. All together, a good round, and at $45 you can't go wrong.
Really good!
I played two days in a row at 11:30 am (Thursday and Friday) and the course was empty and in fantastic shape. Finished both rounds under 3 hours, the ice and cooler on the cart kept me cool, and the value for the money was off the charts: What more could you ask for?
A true legend
There is a love/hate relationship between the Legend course and myself. The tight front nine, located between classic Palm Springs homes, leaves me with many balls, slightly OB, in a yard or pool. But the back nine, opening up and slightly more forgiving, gives me a chance to lower my overall score.
Looking back at all of my rounds, at Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort Legend Course, I’m pretty much a 50 on the front anda 40 on the back.
Which I feel is pretty good.

This is becoming common place with this industry. The stupidest people running businesses must be in the golf business! Closing early because it's...hot. I hear the 2 courses here may be bought and made into a preserve. It serves them right!
