Great course
We have played this course for years and have always enjoyed it. The greens and fairways were excellent. The bunkers were raked and in good condition.
Pro shop and starter were very friendly.
Great value
Great value in the Palm Springs area. Course in super condition
Terrible Course
Completely different condition compared with the Resort course, which was a great value. This one is very bad.
Nice course , but not very exciting. First time playing the course and a few blind shots had us wondering.
Love the Legends at Tahquitz Creek
Really enjoyed my day here! Played well, which always helps, but got paired up with a likeable fellow from LA and we took off, literally! Didn’t see a soul in front or behind until the 13th, where we caught a 3 some of beginners (who were allowed to do 9 holes starting on the back). They slowed us up a lot and a player assistant saw them but did not change the situation. We were really in no hurry, so slowed up our pace and continued to enjoy our round. The greens were a bit slow, but my conversation with the superintendent after the round told me that the overseeding had just been completed and the Legends had only been open a couple weeks! The greens rolled true and I was OK with the speed. We finished in just over 3 hours and the rest of the day was before us. Happy I went back to TCL after many years away.
Good value for the money
First time playing this course. Had reopened just recently after overseeding so greens were fairly slow but puttable. Several longer 3 and 4 pars from the back tees. Pace of play was great, finished in 3 1/2 hours. Nothing fancy but a good playable old fashioned public course.
Tough conditions
The course had very interesting holes and the pace of play was good. However, the course was not in good shape. Much of the fairways were worn out and the front nine greens were very bumpy from worn out conditions:.
Legend Course
1st time to play it. While mostly flat, it was wide open. We loved using our driver on nearly every hole. It was fun and would definitely not hesitate to play again.
Rough around the edges
But very much fun. It’s not mission hills or Indian wells, but it’s $40. We had a blast, greens are ugly but roll pretty well. Bump the ball in the fairway and you will have a good lie. People are friendly and we got paired with two great guys.
Exorbitant rider fee
I asked to have a rider for the back nine…we have been looking at course property. They wanted $25.00 for another cart for nine holes.
Unacceptable fee for a nine hole rider.
There are too many other courses to play…I don’t and will not promote play here.
Make it right and reasonable for future players.
Enjoyable day
Two senior players. Course has sufficient number of tees to satisfy general public. Low handicap players would likely go elsewhere for a more challenging day. No complaints for us. Good driving range. Course and greens in good condition. Generous fairways, water on one par 3. No forced carries.
