Hawk's Landing Golf Club
About
The 18-hole Hawk's Landing Golf Club in Orlando, FL is a resort golf course that opened in 1986. Designed by Joe Lee, Hawk's Landing Golf Club was later remodeled by Robert E. Cupp III.
At just over 6600 yards and carrying a slope rating of 134, the Hawk's new layout differs markedly from its predecessor designed by Joe Lee. Water is in play on 15 of its 18 holes and the entire back nine. Consistently recognized for its great greens, Hawk's Landing is conveniently located at exit 67 off Interstate 4. Winding around three sides of Florida's largest resort and convention center, this course offers an exciting 18-hole challenge and a great golf experience.

great views of the resort. Photo submitted by Scott4497478 on 09/21/2012
Not a good experience
Not great course. Expensive and wasn’t in good shape. 4 oz water and buy the rest. Not even a drinking fountain or water on the course. People weren’t friendly. When you buy a water they say 17%gratuity is automatic. Typically you would give 20 but they just take it to buy anything. DO NOT Golf There!!
Hawk's
Although we started at 2:10, we should have been able to play 18. However, the foursome in front of us was so slow that we played 14 and then went back to the Clubhouse.
SLow slow slow, wait wait wait
Nice greens, tight course. Big hitters would probably not like this course. Finished in the dark with 10 other golfers shooting at the island green in the moonlight.
Always a good time at Hawks Landing
My wife and I play here almost every time we are in Orlando. This is probably the third time we've played this year. The golf course has evolved over the years and is now a par 70 (18th hole used to be a par 5, now a 3). But we enjoy the convenience and have generally played with really nice people., There are some tricky holes like the first par 5. It looks more intimidating than it is, but it's still one that you have to think about each shot. The 7th is a very long par 3. Even from the Blue Tees it's a poke! The back actually has more "fun" holes, where ball placement is everything. I love all three of the par 3's on the back, especially 18. I love the island green and I think it looks like the 17th at the Stadium Course. The course has a lot of miles on it and it shows in a few areas like the Tee Boxes. But always a fun round.
Weird layout
Routing has players leaving greens running into players teeing off on next tee. Feels like course was jammed into insufficient space. Joggers from hotel also on cart paths.
enjoyed round
nice course, quality staff, on the grounds of a huge Marriott resort.
Disappointing course for Marriott
Pro shop was friendly but just a cluster of an operation and course was average at best for an Orlando course charging this price. When you drop your bag off you need to hit a button so someone finds you to then open a gate to park your car. Then you go to the driving range and its irons only. You can tell they tried to cram this course in its design while making sure as many hotel units as possible are on the property. Greens were crab grassy, and course was tight with water everywhere. The “Hawks Nest” where you get your golf course food and drink charged an arm and leg for anything and then they had no lids for their drinks. Nothing like $20 for a double air plane bottle to then have it spill while driving your cart. Food also was trash yet expensive. They should just put more hotels up and get rid of this course. No clue what people see in this place but if your at the hotel the convenience is nice for sure.
Hawks Landing was well worth it!
Very friendly and accommodating staff all around--as a single I was paired with a husband/wife two-some and I thoroughly enjoyed the day.....except for the #1 handicap 18th hole. The par 3 (174 yds) has an island green that's incredibly firm (let's call it rock hard). Hit what I thought was a perfect shot that landed on and rolled over green into water hazard. My only recommendation for this course is to water the 18th green thoroughly and consistently so that it accepts (and holds) balls that are well-struck. Other than that, a great experience!
