Mission Hills - Gary Player Course

Best greens in the desert by far! Played JW, Westin & Classic club and Gary Player was by far the best experience. I love the contrast of dormant and green turf. Maybe some new carts and clubhouse and this place is awesome!!

Clubhouse and carts are dated but I heard new carts arriving in a couple months.

Kind of disappointed due to fact we were 4th tee time in morning. Started behind 3 foursomes of young assuming college age girls . Possibly a team as they had a coach jumping between groups … good golfers . Repaired anywhere from 3 - 8 ballparks per green … never saw a divot sanded .. often played extra balls and putts from green while group behind obviously waiting

We found the course in excellent condition from tee to green. The lay-out is varied, interesting and challenging for all level of players. A nice experience.

I won’t play here again. This course is way over priced. This should be a $75 course. Grass is dead. Carts are barely functional. The staff is friendly but this course is just low quality.

This is a pretty good golf course. There are some maintenance issues where there is large brown spaces (not the waste areas) and it seems things have been let go.

The golf carts were ancient and the seats were falling apart.

This course is one of our favourite golf courses. The course layout is great and the staff are friendly. We didn’t come for 2 years during COVID. This time is surprise to see most of the power carts are kind of beat up. The cart seats are ragged.

Good course conditions including tees, fairways and greens

Love this golf course. Play it every time I come to Palm Springs, usually more than once. My only criticism is about the riding carts. Our cart, and pretty much every other one I saw had major rips in the seat's upholstery. Clearly the seats were worn and not very comfortable.

Secondly, the cart's steering was extremely loose. Given the fact that the cart paths are quite curvy, it can be difficult to keep the cart on track, creating a bit of a safety hazard.

The overall quality of the course is somewhat degraded by the poor condition of the riding carts.

Something must have happened to the greens in the fall. Recently ran some sort of raking machine over them and pretty much wrecked them. Will be a minimum of 3 weeks before it grows back to fill in properly. Really too bad as we have always enjoyed playing there over the years. Sad part is they have jacked up the rates so that even for a normally nice par 3 it’s way over priced now. Sad really.

The clubhouse is definitely the weakest part of the course. Once overcome, you discover an excellent resort course, not too challenging so it is good to play for players of all level. We found the course in excellent condition from tee to green.
