Lely Resort Golf & Country Club - Flamingo Island Course

12:55 tee time w/ Leah for $22.26 thru Golfnow using Golfnow rewards discounts. I actually booked the Mustang course but check in person allowed us to play this course instead when I told him I actually preferred to try this course. Well stocked pro shop inside a huge resort clubhouse. Ice & water station by the club house. Nice practice range/area. Battery powered carts w/ windshield & rain cover in back, & has GPS also. Gorgeous tee boxes, fairways, & bunkers. Was told greens recently punched & sanded but saw no evidence of it & they rolled fast.

Th course had been airrated but still ok ..the desk check in Gary was ok he could be more welcoming ...but ok ...the cart attendant was "GREAT" in the many, many years of playing Lely DAVE(an older man) was very helpful i.e. he is the first attendant to say to me "TAKE THE CART " it's easier to get to the pro shop ...after the round he actually cleaned my clubs the last time I played Lely about 5 days ago their was an older tall attendent how missed my sand wedge ..9 iron and did't put my driver head cover on and left it in the cart basket ...I realized it only 2 days lter and had to go back to the course and ask if it was in the lost and found and there it was....I had given the attendant a$5. tip....his service was not worth it...I am in a customer relationship job on a boat and KNOW good and bad service... I'm not being picky but truthful.....

I have played this course several times. It is impossible to get a drink or sandwich on the course. Course conditions where a little dry but given the time of year things where pretty good

Signed up for the flamingo course but staff talked me into mustang course. Had a great time. Afternoon rates were great.

Been playing lely courses for 25years. Absolutely worst conditions I seen tee boxes, fairways, run extremely poor condition. Greens were fair condition. Cost to play excessive based on conditions. Cost always high time of year but based on condition of course absolutely ridiculous

great track and for a sunday midday, the pace was excellent

Rangers need to improve pace of play ..Rangers were invisible if are all there ..we came up to 18 and a couple parked their cart on the green while putting!!!!! No kidding first in my years of golfing! Course was in wonderful winter conditions esp greens...layout was pga level

The Lely Flamingo course has a good blend of challenges. Greens well guarded, lots of sand and water.
Greens rolled fast but good. could not sink a putt, but that was my problem.
Practice amenities very good and convenient.

The course is varied and challenging with water hazards and lot of sand traps.
Unfortunately, the score card on our car was for the wrong course which somewhat threw us of at the beginning but the GPS helped us to navigate the course.
The course has a lot of "no car allowed" which made a lot of walking around with several clubs around the greens as we could not see the terrain behond the greens which were fast and easy to over- shoot.
All summed up, we had a good time!

Course needs work on fairways and tees and needs to be manicured more.

Had to skip the last 2 holes due to backup.

The facility was great, it was nice to have two options for courses. We played the flamingo course. For the experience golfer it's awesome, for us it was a little tough. But we still had a blast and I would recommend the Lely resort to anyone.

Good value for money (pm) but I have a at times considered playing it in March but way too expensive then, even in the afternoon

Played in very wet conditions (cart path only) . Extreme rain the previous night and morning. Realistically the course should have been closed due to the poor conditions . There is nothing about Lely that stands out. A flat , open nondescript course . I will not play there again

What a fantastic round of golf on this wonderful Flamingo course!
Great services include golfcart with GPS, tees, towels and cooler box ful of ice cubes.
Free ice water everywhere and a nice lady coming around offering snacks and cold drinks.
Large practise facilities, with lots of range balls everywhere.
Must play - love to play anytime again!

Awesome course, bring your "A" game. It's a demanding course. Love it, recommended it to players while golfing @ The Ritz Carlton. ..we will return soon.

I have played Lely before, 2 years ago. The greens were good, but the overall standard of the course was not as it used to be.

I think there are other courses that offer better value for money.

NIce course - greens had been punched not too long ago so they were a little bit rough, but overall very good conditions. The course is nice...played the green tees and not too hard from there but again, very nice. In the off season, the rates are very reasonable. Overall, I would recommend a visit to play here.
