Sabal/Grand at Grand Palms Golf & Country Club

About
Located in Pembroke Pines, picturesque Grand Palms Golf & Country Club offers three nines: Royal, Sabal and Grand. The nine-hole courses are playable in three combos, with the Sabal/Grand coming in at a 6,682 yards. Of the three, Sabal/Grand is the most helter skelter, combining the shortest and longest nines. The Grand is a tight golf course that offers a challenge for most, what with its raised greens, narrow fairways and challenging water holes. Sabal, by contrast, is a resort-style play, with a gentler game featuring generous fairways and greens.

First time here/after further review
After reading other reviews, id decide to try the course out for $40 and on a Monday mid morning. Pace of play was great. Most tee box’s aren’t bad 6/7 out of 10. Fairways aren’t bad couple rough spots but again 7/10. A few greens were great. They are definitely a work in progress I’d say about 12 of 18 still need work filling in seeds. A lot of water almost every hole. Not a lot of areas have out of bounds.
Not bad for $40/45
We played Royal/sabal course.
Cheap golf but nothing more
I booked as a single. Apparently didn’t have a group so was sent out with a couple. My garmin did not find the Royal nine. No yardage markers anywhere, no
Ball washers. Layout was ok with lots of water. Greens slow but had grass.
Had to park a long ways from club drop. No desire to go back.
Good golf course worth to try
We played on 2 of the 3 9-holes courses (Sabal and Grand). They were in decent condition since some areas were wet and muddy. The greens were also in decent condition with some small yellow spots and the grass were still a bit too long (slow in combination with the wet condition). The course layout is interesting in some holes (lots of water and bunkers) and a bit boring in some others. We enjoyed the pace, a bit slow sometimes but still finished less than 4 hours (for 2 players). We liked it and would come back in the future.
Feedback
Grand Palms is a great 27 hole layout. There were issues with the greens previously but they have dramatically improved. The course is a great value.
Improving
Better each time I go there
Still needs work but can’t complain too much considering the price
Directions n the course
Hi, we liked our day in your golf course, but we suggest a « strong » recommandation.
At least 3 or 4 times, we had problems to find the right place to go next hole, sometimes we have to follow car path, fine, but when we had a choice for right or left side of the car path, there were non indications, so we made the bad choice and and to come back and take the other one, for finally after few minutes find it…..
Seriously, add some little panels it will be enough
LAyout was good but greens were in poor condition.
The greens needs to be revamped, reseeded and smoothened out. There were way too may bump and patches on most greens. Too bad, because this could be a nice course except for that, The green were fair.
Good value for my money
Love golfing at Grand Palms. My favorite golf course.
need help but has potential
one of the coldest and windiest days in south florida so any course will give a golfer issues however the rye has grown in so the putting greens can be addressed , thick fairways let a hacker throw some balls at the flag sometimes actually sticking to the green
Not as bad as other posts
Yes. The greens are growing in after some repairs. If you are out here practicing, move the ball a little bit to find a clean line. Fairways were decent. Tee boxes were also good.
Surprised of lack of maintenance
This 3 nine wholes is well designed but maintenance is disastrous! Greens are missing grass spots all over and also cups were not done Sunday meaning you could miss pots from having them smaller! Also fairways had sand mounts of fire ants 🐜 on almost every wholes!
Will not return unless improved. Please do something to keep this course enjoyable and hope you will take this comments as friendly players who just would like to play this course unless you do something! ! !
Trash
The greens were in terrible condition, by far the worse course I have ever played.
