Great Value!

The LPGA Jones Course is a great golf course for the money paid. Fairways and greens were in very good shape. Service was effective and attentive. I would definitely recommend this course.

Wet and slow - cart path only

Tough day to enjoy due to wet conditions and a very hot day. Took 3 hours to play front 9, but pro shop was very good about giving us a rain check that’s good until the end of the year. It’s a very good track - just bad timing with several days in a row of rain that preceded our round. I’ll be back.

WHAT HAPPENED ???????

This place is going down hill fast. I heard a rumour that it is or was being sold. That would explain the disaster it has turned into. Historically this course was a treat. You paid an additional 20-30 dollars then some other courses in the area, but you could count on great course conditions and fantastic greens. The current conditions are poor to average muni conditions. Look, for the price I paid its hard to complain to vigorously, but when you have experience with the facility and you see it in the current condition it s heartbreaking. If rumour is true that its being sold, hopefully the new will treat the properties with the respect they deserve. For these reasons I struggle to recommend this course and would direct people to others first.

Solid

LPGA Jones is a great course for the average golfer. The fairways are generally wide so you will find your tee shot. But you will be pretty severely punished by rough, mounds, or bunkers. There are few forced carries. And it’s largely a second shot golf course. The greens are usually divided into sections. Hit the section that the pin is on and you have a pretty straight putt. Hit one of the other sections and you’re in 3 putt territory. Miss the green and the up and down and bunkers will be difficult. It’s a lot of fun to play and a fun layout. The course was in really good shape the day I played. Greens smooth and fast. Faster than I’ve played in a while. Fairways in great shape. Tee boxes in good shape. Two minor complaints. I thought the bunkers needed to be spun. Too much heavy soft sand. And we made the turn in right at 2 hours. And there were 3 groups waiting on 10. The pace on the back was really slow. However, a course I really enjoy that I go back to every time I’m in the area.

Love LPGA. Jones is a great track. Great clubhouse staff and starters. B+ conditions (traps are wildly inconsistent -rock hard or fluffy- and I saw a lot of them) course is great otherwise, best greens in the area. I was first off Sunday morning. Great pace of play until 13 when two members (Dmitri and his buddy) were suddenly ahead of me and treating it like a lesson session. 4-5 balls in play, mulligans galore...brought the pace of play to a screeching halt. They saw me and didn't care. This is not a first, either. Members pull this crap all the time. Backed up traffic for a few holes from what I could see. Total disregard for anyone but themselves.

Lacking

LPGA Jones is a good golf course. Unfortunately, it suffers from a lack of attention on the golfers who play there. 90+F day yesterday and there’s no ice on the course. The occasional fountain w no cups is inadequate. The twilight rate of $39 is the right price, which is why the tees are jammed after 3 pm.

LPGA has a great tradition as a great golf venue. Today, it’s lacking in a number of critical areas.

Enjoyed the day on the golf course

Greens were great shape. Fairways were very wet and cart path only. Some sand bunkers had water in them. Course was in good condition given the amount of rain for the passed few days.

Good course but room for improvement

Daughters wants to Daytona so I went to LPGA International. There is room for improvement here… Very bad round, only 3 pars from 1st 3 x Par 3.

Pro:

This course has combined few courses you might be familiar in Orlando – Shingle Creek (Northeast hilly style), Falcon’s Fire signature hole with bunkers but much shorter, Celebration/North Shore with “choke” hole Tee (150ft hazards right in front of the tee box, shorter here) and 18th hole feels like in teeing off from Rio Pinar

Greens are pretty consistence speed, one putt for the first few holes then the course condition just drained me afterward.

Room for improvement:

Fairway were all wet and soft but the worst part is no 100 or 150 markers and cart path only so I keep hitting the wrong clubs (clubs that I carry to the fairway – too lazy and walk back to the cart. Or dig irons & wood into dirt.)

Green side rough were also wet and soft so mostly 2 chips and 2 putts, club keep digging into the dirt.

I was hitting from the Blue tee so the tee boxes were good because most people are hitting from the White or shorter and that’s the only reason that I didn’t par the last Par3 because we didn’t know where was the blue tee and hitting from the white and it was in very bad shape so I dig my club an inches into the dirt. I think most ppl don’t pay attention to these minor details but trust me, it’s not because you lift you head up or whatever, if the course condition was good, I assure you a good round.

BTW, I can’t remember seeing ball washers

With the hot deal price, I’m still regretted this round because of the course condition. The senior couple play with me swear the course usually hard like rock but just not today I guess.

Their maintenance team should visit Ventura in Orlando and see how they spent their money to keep everything firm instead of blaming on the rain.

Wet

Was super wet due to rain day before etc. so it was cart path only already it also rained during round for a good 20 minutes which then made the fairways flood. Lets just say hitting a decent shot after sure was hard. Overall good course would be exquisite during dry season.

You are gonna want to play here

Great round, great course. My goodness it’s a gem. Drove an hour to play and would be back anytime if I could. Course is in great condition. Everything from tee to green is 4* or above. The fairway bunkers are a little thick but we have had a lot of rain lately, they are playing just fine absolutely nothing to have to worry about. I really liked the course. Pace of play a little bit slow but still played in 4 hours. Would recommend this course to anyone who is looking to play something nice

Great layout, poor bunker conditions

This could be a 5 star course with a few improvements. The biggest issue is terrible bunker conditions. Most do not drain properly and have varying degrees of packed sand or even mud. They heavily water the greens and bunkers every day and the sand is always wet.

The greens are a bit bumpy due to heavy play. The fairways are immaculant.

Best Conditions

Experienced the best course conditions of anywhere I've played in over a year. But here are a few critiques. Very limited drinking water on the course and the beverage cart quit at 2:30. No valet present at bag drop. Marshall gave no information. Carts are pretty beat up and only some have GPS. I'm assuming they don't get enough play to afford higher level of service.
